So quick to jump ship

Ok, so we're 0-2. Yes, 0-2 that means that there are 14 games to go in the season. 0-2 teams have won the super bowl before, it's not the end. The coffin has not been nailed shut. Everyone on here is now turning on Daunte and the offense. Give Daunte a shot, he has played TWO games for us, and is just about to come into the soft part of the schedule. I'm telling you right now, this crying, complaining and booing is counter productive. No, we do not suck despite popular opinion, we are a really good team, and if you think we aren't then why does everyone seem so surprised about these two games. It's a 16 game season and is by no means over. Last year when we lost 22-0 to the browns, yeah I was depressed of course, but I knew we were better than that. Daunte had a terrible performance and is probably kicking himself. There is a game tomorrow and he has another chance to prove himself. WE WILL STILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. Mark my words and quote me on it.
 
even if the coffin is nailed shut, we could pull a the bride/ black mamba move like in kill bill 2...3 inch power punch... even at 0-2, i still have mad hope.. it wasnt until we got our selves waxt last year b4 we we n that 6 gm winning streak... buffalo is not a sorry team. they are actually quite improved of years past, and any team.....any team with a defense that can run, read, and want to hit will be competitive in the NFL...
yea, we shoulda beat them..on paper..

could the players possibly started believing the hype b4 they deliver..? dont know, but we hung tough with pitt. and showed promise... but in both losses, we abadon the run like it was 2004...

I agree that there is still a lot of football left, but when you start a season like this there is reason to complain. The O line has looked like complete ****, and the secondary, not much better. I'm not writing off the Dolphins this year because like you said we are better than this, but I'm also not saying we will win the SB either. I think today is a day where a lot of opinions on the Dolphins could change.

No, it's not the fans fault - however I believe CHAMBER8484 is decrying that there seems to be an awful lot of "nay sayers" and pesimists.

Point #1 ) Not everyone is bashing Daunte.
Point #2 ) Dolphins wont win the Superbowl this year.
Point #3) We could make the playoffs, but its not likely now. We have to go to Buffalo, New England, Indy, Chicago, Jets (which is always hard) and play Jax and New England at home? Looks tough to me. We arent that good just yet.
 
I had the Phins 1-1 at this point

So while disappointed with our performances in the first two games, especially the first one which we SHOULD have stolen from the Steelers. I dont think we're exactly derailed yet. Daunte Culpepper has yet to play like Daunte Culpepper, and when he DOES then you have your 9-10 win playoff team.

And who's pulling away in the AFC anyway? The Dolphins minimal are a wildcard team if they play to potential because many of the other AFC teams really aren't.
 
I know it seems like a tough division to you... the AFCE that is, well, it might have been in the past but this season, your division is wrought with parity. New England may be 2-0 but c'mon, they are not as tough as they have been. The Jets really are not that good. I'll reserve judgement on the Bills young d, but you guys should be in the mix. Winning the division is most of the battle. The Steelers took 7-5 to a WC berth and now a world championship. It's only week 3. It's not like you are in obvious rebuild mode, right? You got a star caliber qb... I just hope you are still out of synch. I want a win. But if your d stifles KC like he has been... We get to see Vince Young that much sooner... so good luck to ya... I'll be honest with you... Your fins should have had a tear down a while back. It looks like you guys have been in sustain mode for too long... must be better than cap hell... funny how those tradeoffs work...hmm
 
I'm not about to jump ship, but to the best of my knowledge 'teams' have not won the SB after being 0-2. Only one team has done it (Dallas).
 
I think you're crazy saying we don't suck. As of now WE DO SUCK. And SUCK BAD. In going forward we could begin to suck less and less, and eventually be good, but to say this is a good football team is laughable.
