We have glaring needs at OL, LB and WR... but McDaniel builds his offense on a power running game, and our RB's are trash!

Thoughts on Walker, Hall or Spiller in the first couple of rounds?

McDaniel had a 6th rounder as his leading rusher this year

Shanahan's have a history of mid round RB's going for 1000 yards

Devonta Freeman was the RB on the ATL SB team (round 4)

As much as I would love Kenneth Walker, I think we are more likely going to take a RB late day 2, early day 3

I suspect they might like Spiller in round 2. I think he brings a style they will like. Let's see what he runs at the combine.

I would have done that last season for Harris, but I don't see spending high picks on RB.

I would like to see 4 RBs on the roster next season. One of them should be Duke Johnson. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting 1 or 2 and bringing in a proven vet that McDaniel believes is a good fit as a FA. Would also not oppose keeping Gaskin as one of our 4 RBs.

Spend some of that free agent money on a proven stud and save those valuable high draft picks.

Who's available?

Here we go again. The running wasn't working, so we pick up a couple of street free agents and things change dramatically. Obviously what we learned from that is that we definitely need a first round RB.

Nope. 1st round RBs are for contenders looking for an edge. They're terrible for middle-of-the-pack teams or whatever we are.

I would say 2nd or 3rd round. Watching a lot of SF games, their running backs are very instinctive. They see cutback lanes etc.

So, who are the most instinctive backs in the draft?
