Now that Thomas is nursing a hammy injury which is listed "day to day", but we all know how annoying these injury's can be, and with the signing of LJ, Bush never really being a true between the tackles threat, and the right side of the O-line with columbo and carey struggling, should we be concerned? I have to admit I'm a little concerned and I'm hoping Thomas will be healthy and can play, I actually think if thomas plays we are gonna use the wildcat a little bit to keep NE honest, daboll ran it in Cleveland, thomas ran it at K-state, and a couple of weeks ago sparano said it was not dead and we were working on a few things with the wildcat so we will see.

Can't be much worse than last year. I think with the addition of Pouncey we'll be able to grind more yards up the middle with our power backs, but I do fear problems with stretches/sweeps to the right. Columbo has looked God-Awful.

I'm less worried about the backs running it than the guys blocking for it. You can put an average or worse running back there and he can get 5 yards when there is blocking and nothing when there isn't. A good running back may get 7 or more when there is blocking and none when there isn't.

Larry Johnson's best days are behind him, but I have confidence that if there are blocks there he will be able to get the couple of yards we need to get just to keep the offense balanced.

it is a concern im expecting more run plays from the outside
and substituting runs with more short passes if they struggle
