It was a huge mistake to endorse Philbin last week before the season ended. To me any smart owner or boss would reserve comment or decision to see the final results. By committing to Philbin last week Ross made a fool of himself and this franchise yet again. What harm would have been done for him to just say "I want to wait out the season and make a decision." That would at least have allowed him to see what other coaches hit the market, see how the team responded in week 17, etc. But instead, by committing to Philbin last week he created yet another disaster.

Mediocrity is assured. The only real surprise is which exciting new debacle will develop next year under Philbin's watch to embarrass the franchise.

Ross put your money where your allegience is. Like DE76 said, sign him to 3 more years. If not, that means you also realize he may not be the guy to lead our team in the future. If you do Ross, pay him and sign him.
