I just couldn't figure out these last few years how some guys are getting paid so much for little productivity. I started to think maybe there was alot more to what we saw on Sundays. It's refreshing to see some house cleaning finally!! This is long overdue and the guys going make sense for their pay. That's not to say Carter isn't good but not at 6.5M. For years we all complained about the Oline - finally some house cleaning! Whose next?
JH - should be
McMike - you have to wonder
Mare - overpaid but great on KO's
Big Daddy - not dominant but big load in middle
Chambers - at this point he has to stay I think - not many other options for now
C-Pep - have to see this year given the upside and investment already made

Any thoughts?
 
that's why I believe contracts half of the money they make should come from performance
 
JH and DC should both stay until June. If Lemon isn't signed by another team keep him at least as backup. Let JH or DC go with a June 1 cut if either wind up #3 QB.

Mare and Chambers are probably safe for this year. Even though I'd like to see both a take a pay cut. Performance in 2007 should determine if they stay beyond that.

First of all if we keep JH past this wednesday we have to pay him 1 million dollar bonus. and then you said we could cut in June 1st. if he doesn't pan out. Why pay him a million dollars to stick around untill June? You also said that we could let DC go in June if he ends up to be our 3rd stringer. DC wasn't brought in here to compete for 3rd string.
 
Harrington is gone by Monday. They are trying to see if a team seeks a trade. This is the only reason they havent cut him yet. His roster bonus isnt due until Monday.

Mare isnt going to be cut until "at least" June 1st. If that. They signed two no name kickers. So they need to see what they have before cutting Mare.

Then, it only makes sense to cut Mare after June 1st anyways because he would clear more by splitting his amoritized between two years.

They already used Carter and James this way. And the CBA rules only allows for two players to be used this way before June 1st. The rest must wait for June 1st.
