There's a lot of truth to this. I always say everything tends to drift back to the beginning: We waited the entire offseason for the first exhibition game, and then my immediate thought against Dallas was it was remarkable how many mediocre players comprise this roster. Fast forward 5 months and that was my identical impression today, that we are stocked with mediocrities, and ones that don't always provide a great deal of effort. Lots of loafing today.
Our stadium provides very little home impact so we need more than our share of great players to compensate, not fewer than average.
Very disappointing outcome. I thought we would lead by 4-7 points at halftime and probably hold on. Our energy advantage wasn't what I expected during the first half but we still managed the 7-0 lead and Tannehill had Wallace wide open for a cheap touchdown and a 14-0 edge that could have completely altered the way the game unfolded. Once they tied it at 7-7 I knew we were in big trouble.
