I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'm a little worried about this game on Sunday. I don't like some of the matchups we face all that much. Lately our pass rush has been on fire, but Minny has a solid offensive line that may be able to handle it. I'm also not warm and fuzzy about playing a team who is going to be very persistent with the running game without Keith Traylor in there. I hate the fact that Ronnie is either not going to be playing at 100% or not playing at all, I feel we need our best runner vs the NFL's best run defense. I enjoyed watching the defense terrorize two inexperienced QB's over the last 2 weeks but this week we face a very savy veteran who may be tougher to rattle. The Vikings offense has been really struggling to score the Dolphins need to make sure that trend continues by playing lights out defense, like they have been lately, and even more importantly limiting their negative plays on offense. With that being said that brings me to the nuts and bolts of this post. What will Miami do on Sunday and what is the better approach?? I believe the Vikings will have a tough time scoring on our defense so I'm going to concede this game will be won or lost by our offense.

1. Have a balanced attack with a good mixture of runs and passes. Keep slamming Ronnie or Sammie right into the heart of the Minny defense, regardless of the results, and pick our spots to make plays in the passing game. Basically the offensive focus would be to limit negative plays and count on the defense to win the game for us.

2. Spread the Vikings out and wing the ball around, like other teams have done with success vs Minny. Do we have the personnel to pull this off and can we count on our QB to catch fire, hit the open guys and limit mistakes?? If we use this approach and Joey has an efficient game there's no doubt we will win.

What do you guys think.

Play solid defense and hope Joey doesnt make stupid mistakes like he has in all but one of his games.....and hope Ronnie keeps running like he has been.

This is definitely our last struggle offensively... The VIKES have the best run "D" in the league. This, of course, is what we have depended on the last couple of weeks. The Vikes know this as well. Their game plan will be to make Joey beat them in the air... They have already made statements as to how Joey is the same guy they have beaten 5 times in the past and that Joey does not scare them.

However, I think that we can fall back on the experiences in the BEARS game in this game as well... Our "D" will make a few plays on this team. And it would not surprise me to see the FINS "D" score a few points in doing so... Bottom line is that this will be a close game and I do not see the FINS losing in the end, but I see this game coming down to the final minutes...

The FINS win this one by 1 or 2 points...

We have to throw the ball well against the Viking Defense. Their rush defense is just to good i think they are number 1 in the NFL aginst the run. We have to go up on this team early and amke them throw the ball Brad Johnson has been shaky so far and I think Taylor and the boys can rattle him. I have seen every Viking game cause my friend is a big viking fan so you could say I have a pretty good feel on what Minny is all about.

We'll run simply because you have to run in the NFL, but I'd like to see us pass the ball a little further than we've been throwing it. Let's see how the OL stacks up against Minnesota's DL early on--if they're protecting well, we should definitely try some mid-to-deep passes.

The only problem with that is Minnesota knows that everyone tries to pass on them, so they'll be expecting it, especially with Ronnie being questionable.

I don't want to call it a trap game because we aren't huge favorites. But it almost feels like it. For whatever reason, I'm looking ahead to the Detroit game because I know once we when that, we are in the mix of things. Maybe it has something to do with waking up on Thanksgiving and watching my Dolphins too.

I think we need to try and establish a run as early as possible. Get out to a quick lead and keep Ronnie fresh. I don't like the idea of playing from behind because of how poor our quarterbacking is, so get ahead early, and try to avoid useing Ronnie as much as possible.

Every game should scare us. We are still a 3-6 team, albeit probably the most talented 3-6 team (maybe Pitt). I just don't see many games ending up like Chicago. This is going to be a very tough game. I think we're going to have to find a way to score points. We're going to have to move the ball through the air. Whether Ronnie plays or not, the running game is going to be limited. I think Ronnie will have a much bigger effect in the passing game. With the possibility of Smoot being out now, this might be the best chance for Chris Chambers to dominate a game. If we can get one of those 7 catch 120+ yd 1-2 TD games out of him that would be big. Also, the defense has to continue to play at the "elite" level they have been playing at. They really set the tone for the game. One more point of note, I think we have to come out and grab a lead. Our team is much better suited playing with a lead, than being able to come back from a deficit.

We'll air it out in this game. You dont run on the Vikings. the game will be won on the other side I think. If we hold the Vikings to 14 or under we should win. Anuthing more and who knows

I say every play alternate between the WR reverse, the double reverse, and the HB pass. Once we have them on the ropes we can throw in a HB Dive to really hit'em where it hurts...

Did I mention this is a bunch of mularkey???

im not too concerned with minny...chester taylor is hurt more than ricky...even if our offense struggles, i cant see the vikings putting up more than 6 poitns against us

Come out fearless. Throw the ball deep early. Test the run. Hurry up offense. Get Hagan involved more. Minny has given what a average of 300+ passing yards thepast 2 weeks?
