So what exactly is the difference between the Chiefs and the Dolphins?

I understand people thinking that...I just disagree. Tua is an above average QB...probably top 10 in the league right now. He will never dominate the league like Mahomes or Brady, but if he has a good defense and time to throw the ball, I absolutely believe Tua can win at least one SB. A consistent run game would help as well. All things any QB would benefit from.

I possibly agree with you, but he needs to show up in the big games like the ones that count, poor weather, etc.. Sometimes the offensive leader needs to shine and make that big play in big moments and I’m not sure he has done that consistently, especially when it’s needed most, but we’ll see.

If he folds This week and the team folds it just seems we’re pretty deep down a rabbit hole and change is needed. If Tua balls out and the defense doesn’t show then I’ll start to believe he does have that it factor

I can't argue with that. He does need to play better in big games for sure! Other players need to step up too...namely Hill.

Andy Reid is the only answer. He made Donovan McNabb look like a good quarterback. Alex Smith look like a good quarterback. And Patrick Mahomes look like a good quarterback.

I could show you a hundreds of post of me trying to vicariousky dump tannehill and do whatever it take to draft Mahomes
Oof really? Well that was quite a miss by the team, although we weren’t the only ones.

Mahomes often underthrew Tyreek. He has a good arm, and delivers at all angels. But not nearly the arm of Stafford, Allen, Jackson, Herbert, etc. He is just so trusting of his skills, and makes correct decisions at an uncanny rate. It’s like defenses come in already half defeated.
Yeah no. That’s not true. Mahomes definitely has one of the best arms in the league and his arm is comparable to anyone else’s.

During their time together (2018–2021), Patrick Mahomes targeted Tyreek Hill 479 times in regular-season games. Hill turned those targets into 331 receptions, resulting in a 69.1% catch rate, with 4,638 receiving yards and 46 touchdowns.

Compared to Tua and Reek up to this point in the 2024 season:

• Targets: 325
• Completions (Receptions): 236
• Receiving Yards: 3,529
• Completion Percentage: 72.6%
• Touchdowns: 23

Out of those numbers, the 2024 season has seen a significant drop off between reek and Tua:

Targets: 111, Receptions: 70, Comp %: 63.1, yards 834, tds: 6

I think Reek has been injured with his wrist this year which probably impacted comp %.

But if you think that Mahomes has under thrown tyreek hill more than Tua has you are high. I’m not desparaging Tua who as we all have seen has had excellent seasons with Mahomes, but if you don’t realize that Mahomes has one if he best arms this league has ever seen then I don’t know what to tell you.

We don’t need to compare Mahomes and Tua, that wouldn’t be productive, but as has been stated it’s not just Mahomes arm that makes him great but his ability to make plays when protection breaks down, his magical sand lot style of playing his own ability to run and pick up yards, basically his ability to put on his cape and put the team on his back if necessary and do what it takes to win and to show up and play his best football in the biggest games makes him special as does his ability to make throws that very few others can.

All of that combined has delivered Will anyone be surprised if he wins it all again this year?

But yes, his arm talent is rare and is comparable with the best who have ever played this game and is one of many reasons he has done this:

Regular Season:

• Total Games Played: 112
• Wins: 89
• Losses: 23
• Winning Percentage: Approximately 79.5%

Playoffs:
• Total Games Played: 18
• Wins: 15
• Losses: 3
• Winning Percentage: Approximately 83.3%

Super Bowl:
• Appearances: 4
• Wins: 3
• Losses: 1
• Winning Percentage: 75%

I’m not disputing Mahomes greatness. I responded to the comment his arm strength was in essence huge. I saw several occasions when hill had to wait for the ball. However, in no way is Tua’s arm as strong as Mahomes. I never said that. Hill is not the same guy. He can’t turn sharply. But how do you excuse the 2 drops? The 3rd was tipped, not a drop.

Other than your statement, which most will not accept as definitive on this issue, we will never really know the answer to that question, with certainty, will we, unless they both line up on the same spot and throw it, will we?

Who really knows what QB has the strongest arm until we line them up side by side, under the same conditions, and have them sling it.

That’s how we did it at the DOD.

Thats how you settle the issue.
