Historically the Dolphins cannot play in the cold weather. Since most of the team is new does this become a non issue? It looks like we might play 2 games in the snow.

what 2 games, not sure, also our offensive and defensive leader (chad and joey) come from teams that are used to playing in rough weather, just saying lol :)

Yeah it seems kinda wierd to me. We're like the only team that people say cant play in the cold just because we're from Miami. I never hear anyone talk about the Cowboys, Chargers, 49ers, Texans, Titans, or Saints or Lions this way. Its a myth and i hope we break it this year.

Since we have been losing the past 3 seasons you cant see it. But when we were a decent team we always sucked in the snow. For a myth it certainly came true most of the time.

Trust me i know what your talking about. Even before the past 3 seasons its what the league has been speculating on. We always started seasons strong and then had trouble late in the year. People attributed that to the cold weather, but other people thought that it was because the fins had one of the hardest training camps during the JJ and Wanny era and thats why we were so well prepared early on. People speculated that due to the intense training camps, our team would just run out of gas toward the end of the season.

The reason i say its a myth is because there are TONS of teams that have climates just as hot if not hotter than us and no one points the finger at them. If they can all get over it, we can to. Its not like every single player on our team was born and raised in the desert. Cold weather should not be an excuse for pro football players, they're not freakin ballarinas.

Gotta love the pics of the phins wearing the full length winter coats with the smoke coming out of their mouth. You just know that the home team fans get a kick out of seeing that. I seem to remember Ricky running roughshod over the Bills a few years back in some not so nice conditions so hopefully it will be a non-issue. I do know that Marino, with his brittle bones hated the cold, especially in his later years.

Yeah well thank God he's gone.

I said it a million times before. Football is meant to be played outdoors in all types of weather. If a player can't deal with cold and snow then maybe they need to take up golf and leave football to men.

Thats what i'm screaming.

I dont think we really have any cold games to play, maybe 1???

Real men love to play in the cold, so if we are real men, we'll win :)

it shouldn't be a concern, but for the record....only week 16 (@ KC) and week 17 (@ NYJ) are issues. the game @ BUF is in toronto, which has a roof. pennington should be very comfortable in the cold, and i doubt parcells/sparano will allow the weather to be an excuse. any player who mails it in because of the cold will more than likely be free to find a warmer address in the offseason.

I gotta wonder if it was the cream puff workouts the last 13 plus years that ruined us late in the year?
