Hello,

I'm asking this as a serious analysis, not a ''some wins'' or some useless answer.

We seem to have found a QB. Check
We seem to have enough parts at the WR position... perhaps a bigger body on the outside?
A TE?
The line seems to be on part with others in the league, but maybe something there?
On the defensive side? Just stay healthy? An impact MLB?

There are a lot of people here with higher knowledge on these matter than I, so I am just curious to see your analysis...

Team needs a quality TE. They also need to have defensive players who don't wilt when the lights get bright.

Need a new coach.

Need to definitely upgrade at WR if we want to compete with NE and Denver next year. Hartline only shows up on 1 or 2 plays per game.

2 starting caliber cornerbacks

A tight End that can make plays on a consistent basis.

Keep building the the O Line.

Depth. Lots of depth. More depth. Could really use a big-play LB and a couple of more decent DBs. Maybe a real TE.

Might have to address DT or WR depending on cap situation and people we might have to cut.

Philbin's pregame speeches so we don't come out flat as we've been apt to do (although that wasn't an issue today).

Need a couple more "difference maker" players. We don't have enough which is why we are inconsistent.
We're just a little light in the "difference maker" area.

More intelligent players. You limit yourself with goofs like J. Wilson and R. Jones on the roster.

O line Depth and a starter, A pass pro TE, A nfl starting caliver Lb and lb depth, And depending of the pass pro TE we need redzone targets.

Bigger and stronger in the middle of both lines first and foremost. Big, strong TE and hard hitting LB.

My list would be:
Big WR with large catch radius and some speed (sub 4.5).
Seam threat TE that's 6'4" or better
One or possibly two Guards for the ZBS.
Big CB (5'11" or taller) that can play in man-to-man and zone.
Another linebacker, either a MLB with instincts and speed or a SLB.

The WR is an obvious need...no explanation needed. There are plenty of WRs in the upcoming draft that fit the bill as well. Should be answered in this draft.
The TE is also fairly obvious...unfortunately not an answer in this draft. Plenty of big bodies TEs but none that offer the speed to be a seam threat (I'm looking for sub 4.7...4.65 or better preferably with smooth route running ability...straight line speed does nothing).
Guards are another obvious need. The hope is that Turner will take one Guard spot next year and the draft pick will take the other...could use a little depth here as well.
A big CB would help a lot...we're pretty thin at CB as it is but we've faced so many big WRs and Grimes has done really well but he's still handicapped by his size. We need a guy that can shut down these 6'3" WRs or at least make it much more difficult on the QB to have to throw a perfect pass to get a completion. I'm not sure Will Davis will be much of a player in this league...Taylor seems to be coming along, although slowly, but still needs more PT...and who knows how hurt he is.
We need another linebacker...having Trusnik as our primary backup is not good enough...Ideally we get a linebacker that is instinctive, can read plays, shed blocks and make a play when we have to have it. Unfortunately this draft doesn't offer much in this area either. A lot of linebackers in this draft are on the small side too...makes it tougher for them to matchup with the bigger TEs in this league.

On defense:
1) A space-eating defensive tackle -- we are too soft up the middle against runs
2) A couple more linebackers for depth
3) Bigger, more physical cornerbacks
4) Safety depth

Offense:
1) Interior linemen
2) a quality backup offensive tackle
3) A large tight end with wingspan that can win jumpballs
4) A large wide receiver that can win jumpballs
5) A big bruising running back

Coaching:
1) A better defensive coordinator

I say a great coach who motivates in the right way and refuses to lose. Like Harbaugh, he turned a .500 49er teams loaded with talent into an instant Super Bowl contender. Joe is a nice guy, but he doesn't seem like a great leader.
