Would B Parcells give up a pick for Gabe Watson, who is still young and can team with Soliai as the future for MIA at NT?

Ferguson is going to be 34 by the time the season starts and is in the last year of his contract. He is a little light for a NT and didn't really provide too much push up the middle.

I liked what I saw from Soliai, but you need a starter and a backup to spell a NT. So we need one more NT.

Is Gabe Watson worth it? He is a RFA.

It would greatly depend on if Watson has fully recovered from his broken knee cap he suffered last spring which I'm not so sure he has. After starting every game in 2007, Gabe didn't start a single game in 2008.

If and what the Cardinals tender Watson will greatly depend on if they feel Bryan Robinson, who offers more of a pass rush, can get the job done at the NT position.

Alan Branch is ahead of him on the depth chart, they may just let him go, they have some other huge fish to fry; like Warner,Dansby,Beisel, and what to do with Boldin.

gabe watson is our best bet at nt over the offseason though, he is a rfa. he played at michigan with fellow teamate alan branch. 340 pounds, 6-3 sounds pretty nice? lol

Fergy signed a 2 year extension midseason. At least that's what was mentioned.

No he didn't. He restructured his 2 years remaining on his contract at the trade in the "OFF"season. He is going to his last year of his contract....look at rotoworld for confirmation.

If he is our best bet, we are in trouble.

Watson "is" our best bet at NT depth. Do you have any other ideas??? Please don't mention Haynesworth, who plays for TEN, who has like $100,000,000 worth of cap space. They will have zero issues re-signing their MVP. So, yes, it's Watson....

If they tend Watson a regular tender, we'd only need to cough up a 4th round pick, I believe. A no brainer.

But if they decide that he is more valuable than Alan Branch and tend him a 2nd round tender...then I'm not sure what Parcells does. Does he like Soliai "that" much? If so, maybe they pass.
