Any word on that? Is it realistic to expect them to be complete by the regular season?

They won't even be ready before the start of next year. 2016 at best I think they said.

No, they will begin after this season is over. Hope to be ready by opener in 2015.

Work starts in July and it will be completed in two phases. Phase one before the start of the 2015 season and phase two before the start of the 2016 season.

doesn't pre-season start in like a month lol, they need to put a roof on, move stands and put in tens of thousands of new seats, then new food outlets, bars and all that crap..... big job

Theyre adding tens of thousands of new seats? Where are they going to fit those?

One con about this whole thing is that the stadium really needed to be blown to the ground and built from the ground up. Its going to need to be re-renovated in another 5-10 years.

I meant that quite literally lol they are ripping out the seats and putting in new ones

although they are putting in "new" areas closer to the pitch and taking out seats in the top corners

Also im not sure about your theory - lets look at my team United (its soccer but a stadium is a stadium) its one of the most modern stadiums in the world but the bones of it were rebuilt after the germans blew it up in the world war. The bones of a stadium can be old as long as you build around them well. A heavily renovated Sunlife could in theory be basically as good as a new stadium if they do it right. Old trafford is a far better stadium than a lot of the recently built ones and for the most part it has just been retrofitted again and again. Will they do it well? who knows, they could feck this up and need it redone again in 10 years sure- doesnt have to end that way though

That's what I read today. I would think the things like lighting and maybe food areas could be done this year...whatever are the smallest things. Once the season ends I would think next year they will go at the seats and roof and bigger things.
But what do I know...the biggest thing I have built is a 16' by 16' garage / shed with a big loft, but I am very proud of it!:chuckle:

As someone who has done a LOT of renderings one thing that stands out to me is that corner supports and their associated cables aren't casting shadows. It makes for a nice neat pretty little render however they will cast odd looking shadows onto the field. I would love to see a rendering with their shadow parameters on.
