I always thought the first 20 picks are set by record for the teams that do not make the playoffs. The rest of the picks are set by what round a team is eliminated in and the record of all the teams that lose in that round.
So for example, this weeks losers would have the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th picks.
The loser of the Minn/Philly game willget the 21st pick. Atlanta and the Fins are tied at 11-5 they will pick 22nd and 23rd (not sure of the order right now) and the Colts would select 24th due to their 12-4 record.
googled it and I was wrong... the only two teams that are not affected by their record are the superbowl teams. The rest fall into order by their record, as of right now we have the 25th pick. we could move up to the 23rd pick if SD and either MINN/PHILLY or AZ make the SB.
Haha, all Dallas got out of us in the end for Ferguson was our 2009 6th round pick. They originally got our 2008 6th round pick, who they used to select Erik Walden. Hmmm, that name sounds familiar.
San Franciso (.447)
Buffalo (.453)
Denver (.457)
Atlanta (.459)
Tennessee (.459)
Miami (.461)
They all had an easier schedule than the Dolphins. Why couldn't the first three make the playoffs? Why don't we hear about Atlanta or Tennessee that they made it this far just because of their easy schedule? All I'm hearing is that the Dolphins are just a fluke and sneaked into postseason because of their poor schedule. I'm tired of this.
