So who did we sign to take Folsoms spot on the 53 man roster?

Brandon London - 6'4 215
3 career catches for 30 career yards. Good on special teams. Very cheap, wasn't even drafted, signed for minimum I believe.

Patrick Turner - 6'5 220
0 career catches for 0 career yards. According to Sparano is not good on special teams. Wasn't cheap, spent an early 3'rd round draft pick on him....

=(((((((((((((((

I'm really starting to question the Turner pick more and more each day... he seems to be a higher priced version of B.London...

Theres a reason London is still out of work.

We have missed on so many high draft pick receivers over these last few years...

Derrick Hagan -- a few years ago (3'rd rounder I think ?)
P.Turner -- this year another 3'rd rounder who can't even get on the active roster...
T.Ginn -- 3 years ago 1'st rounder who should have been drafted in the 2'nd or 3'rd...

If we keep missing on every draft pick we choose at receiver we are never going to improve the position... especially since we seem to be so confident in our group that we don't even make the move to go out and get B.Edwards when he was available...

Brandon had 3 catches all of last year, and if i remeber correctly, he was active for every game.
Give Pat time jesus! Vincent Jackson, B Marsh, Mike Walker.. and 4,000 others dont do squat in their first year. Turner isn't burning anyone, so he needs to learn body position and solid route running.

Whats Ramses Barden doing? he was picked before Turner.. he's done nothing..
you guys just need to calm down..

and no one was signed...
we promoted Folsom cuz crowder was injjured, he was released and will be put back on the Psquad..
simple stuff here ppls

I know but London came as an undrafted free agent very cheap from the Giants, while P.Turner is making 3'rd round money and can't even get on the field for SPECIAL TEAMS... at least London was producing on special teams when he was here...

I just really hate how similar these 2 players are starting to look

Do you know how rare it is for rookie WR's to make any impact? There is no way to make any kind of judgment on the kid yet. As far as the other 2 examples they are from different regimes. I think this group is doing an really good job in the draft so far. Next years picks should be interesting.

He was only active because of special teams ability.. he started 1 game at receiver, and had all of his 3 catches in that 1 game.

The thing is Miami's receivers are so horrible right now that if P.Turner can't even be ACTIVE, something is very very wrong.... Comparing him to the R.Barden pick is foolish, the giants drafted Hakeem Nicks in the first round.. he is getting much much more playing time, and Barden also has a few decent receivers in front of him... Miami has nothing of the sort in front of Turner.

The reason things are looking so bad for Turner is that the guy we drafted AFTER patrick turner (hartline) is seeing much much more playing time than him.... that pretty much tells the whole story right there...

How is this group doing a really good job...

Pat White so high in the draft when we have Henne sitting there waiting from last year? 2 second round QB's back to back????

Patrick Turner ahead of Hartline and yet Hartline is seeing 100x the playing time of Turner?????

Shawn Murphy last year?? A 4'th round pick who never even saw one snap before being released for a Detroit Lions practice squad member?

Come on man.. this is not very good drafting... if anything it is very average, not "very good".

nobody hits on all their picks and they haven't missed on many. the amount of snap judgements on players around here is astounding

High draft status does not equal a better player. Just look at Ted Ginn.

Shawn Murphy, our 2008 4th rounder was a wash, but our 6th round pick, Donald Thomas, was a hit.

Ya your right, Getting 2 quality DE's, 2 starting O-Linemen (one as a 6th rounder, and the other an anchor for our line for many years) our QB of the immediate future, a QB with a very unique skillset, 2 very promising CB's and a speedy hard hitting safety in the 5th round. Those are very "average" drafts. :rolleyes2:

This FO knows what they are doing, you are blind if you think they dont have an eye for talent. Ya we missed on some, but i would rather miss on maybe 1 or 2 picks a year, then only hit on 1 or 2 picks a year. That quote is just dumb.
