I believe that if the front office mistakenly traded for Orton, we would have been no better/worse off than we are right now! In Denver they are screaming for Tebow to start and would have loved to trade Orton for a number one or number 2 draft pick.........Though this teams problems are QB related (amongst other things), I don't believe that Orton was the answer. What do you think??????

I always thought Orton was a step sideways to Henne. They are both very similar in stats and really are about equal for the most part. We need a top quality QB and its starts in the draft. I do hope Henne can continue to improve but if its another craptastic year then we need to pony up for that top QB in the draft.

Yep this one is embarrassing for me. I wanted Orton bad, but in reality I don't think he is much better than Henne. I believe we would have given up a 2nd and overpaid to get a slight upgrade at QB. We are better off sticking with Henne.

If we gave up a late round pick I would still have done it..I think Orton is a good qb. He had experience in this type of offense as well. Its always good to have two options at qb to spark at team..Orton would be that guy to maybe give us a spark.. Matt Moore is not gonna give us that.

Remember that Denver was holding out for a number 1? Whew!!! Finally a smart move made by not making a move at all!!!!! I really thought that we were going to blink there for a moment.

Dumb fans would have been happy giving up a #1 and Denver ends up getting Luck

Glad to see some admissions instead of blindly sticking to earlier thoughts.

I'm always for improving every position on the team, but Orton wasn't much of an upgrade and he was very expensive to acquire. The FO did a smart move in that one.

I'm still sticking to my earlier predictions for Henne. Over 3K yards, 3/2 TD/INT ratio, close to 30 TDs.

I think Orton is a lil bit better then Henne......but the truth is Orton wouldn't of been here two years from now and either will Henne so it really doesn't matter in the long run.

I admit that I was hoping we'd bring in someone to compete for Henne.....now I'm glad we didn't make that trade as Henne seems to be a little better than last year and we didn't waste any picks that the new regime will be able to use next april.

Ozzy rules!!

excellent move by ireland exploring getting orton for a reasonable amount, then ultimately deciding not to pull the trigger on a deal. that's how it's done.

I'm still upset that we kept Tony and the front office.

Agreed, at the right price, I would've made the deal. In hindsight, Henne has made enough progress to forget about what could've been with Orton. I'm just hoping that Henne continues to progress throughout the season. Hopefully Thomas will continue to improve finally giving Henne a running game and maybe, just maybe, Marshall will live up to his salary in the red zone.

They're geniuses Namor.... they didn't trade for Orton. Even though we tried to tell all the Orton fanboys what idiots the front office would be if they would have.

Only way I would've traded for Orton was if it involved Tony Sparano or Jeff Ireland straight up...

Well said...my thoughts as well.
