So who will be our first big FA signing tomorrow?

nothing easy about nicks...he's gonna get paid to the tune of 7 years and $56 mil type numbers probably...miami won't be in play there if we're in the qb market...fogetboutit

i'll say flynn and nelson but neither will be done tomorrow...

Pretty much this... which is why I think we should draft Decastro. That actually makes 2 positions on the line better, LG and RG (Richie moving to his naturale position)...

I truly think Murtha and Jerry will make a decent RT for us.
 
I would like Reggie Wayne with or without Peyton. I think he would REALLY solidify our receiving corp for no matter who our QB was. I'm almost to the point, I'd rather spend money on the OL and pass rush in FA if possible and go Tannehill or Weeden (preferably if we trade back a little) in the 1st. I know people don't like Weeden because he's 28, but keep in mind, Kurt Warner came into the league at 27. I'll take a franchise QB with an 8 year career (if indeed our FO/scouts believe he can be that). Even if it took him 2 years to develop completely, that's still 6-7 years of franchise QB play that we havent had in well over a decade.
 
Probably will sign a long snapper, back up punter, and practice squad back up kicker....The way this franchise is anymore.

Wayne isnt going to Miami without Peyton. Offensive line for sure and maybe Tight End?
 
I think wayne would be come here. He.wouldnt necessarily follow manning... id welcome wayne with open arms.
 
Here is my list.

1. Reggie Nelson (SS) , Bell is cut.
2. Carl Nicks (G) , John Jerry slides out to RT.
3. Stephen Tulloch (MLB) , 4-3 MLB Dansby,Burrnett on outsides, move Wake to DE
 
wayne can get more money on the market given his age etc if he goes with peyton as a package deal...someones gonna be willing to throw in a little extra for wayne provided manning is coming to play qb for them...no doubt in my mind...
 
We won't sign anyone.

If Manning or Manning&Wayne fails, obviously we'll look at QBs, but until then I don't think we waste cap space till the Manning situation is done.

Even then, I'd be surprised if we get in more than one FA. Philbin has said in no uncertain terms that he is not a believer in building through FA. He's probably a bit p'eed off that signing Manning is being foisted on him (that's not to say he doesn't want Manning, more that it's not his choice). So I think he'll be very limited in FA, if he buys at all, to demonstrate that he wants to build the team according to his principles.
 
Any interest in Dewite Fennie a pass rushing DL or Hutchinson the guard from Minn. ?
