I am fortunate enough to have a friend on the Dolphins coaching staff; Melvyn Phillips was kind enough to get a ball signed for me back in 2000. I don't abuse this privledge very often but I have been invited to send him another ball for sigs this year. In 2000, he had a random sampling of players sign for me because I had no idea how to respond to his asking, "well who do you want to sign it?" In 2000 he had me wait until the roster was set and over the course of a few weeks he was able to get me 22 sigs on the ball, Zach, Jason, Madison, Surtain, etc..... all in all I got 6 probowlers on that ball and some of my all time favorite Dolphins.
That was the first ball I ever had signed by multiple players and I figured considering his position with the team, that the Defensive players would be easiest for him to get sigs from. But he actually got a bunch of the offense to sign, including Jay Fiedler and Ray Lucas :sidelol:
I can be specific, but I don't want to be a pain. I would very much appreciate some input. This ball will be a keepsake so autograph value has no bearing. What do you think would constitute a cool collection of sigs? I would appreciate any input. Thank you:D
BTW, I think 22 sigs is the upper limit, the first ball is pretty crowded
