I think our only mistake so far has been letting Mciontosh go. Granted if the terms of the deal come back to be exorbinant, then I guess it's not as bad because you don't get better by overpaying for players. But in my opinion Mciontosh didn't do half bad last year and was clearly a help to the overall performance of the OL when he was moved back to LT. I would have liked to see him return and I just hope it's not a case of you don't know what you have till it's gone. In any case, I'm curious to hear who you guys think will be our LT next year?

Will:
-Carey move to LT?
-Alabi pushed to start?
-Shelton move back to LT?
-We draft and play a rookie there?
OR
-Is there anyone else on the FA market? I've only heard of Leonard Davis who I believe signed with Dallas. Wasn't Max Starks of Pitt available?

The plan for now is to move L.J. Shelton back to LT, where he would compete with Anthony Alabi. But I think we're picking up a tackle in the draft -- possibly Levi Brown at #9.

LJ Shelton back at LT means Culpepper better learn to like eating turf. And Alabi's unproven. There's still Luke Petitgout available I believe.

I'm actually hoping they give me a try at LT. I would be willing to switch to LG if they want. It's actually a good question, we have alot of question marks on the line and I think at least at LT their backup plan is Shelton can always move back there but I think he's much better suited to play guard. Alabi is interesting because he knows the system, while a rookie would still have to learn the system. Either way the line right now looks like Alabi, Toledo, Hadnot, Shelton, Carey. That's alot of inexperience on the line between Alabi and Toledo. Either way the line has to be addressed somehow.

petigout and starks would be good signings.....i think alabi gets his shot this year honestly....LJ Shelton should sty where he;s at

i think that they are gonna let Alabi do his thing because i can garuntee we dont take brown at 9 hes now considered a 15-25 pick after the combine. He hurt himself in alot of the drills. I think Cameron decided to ask his coaches oppinion which would be houdson houck and he prob told him that Alabi is ready to step in and start for this team. Coming out out he was raw but he was a very good prospect and was mentioned by many different analysts that one day with the right coaching he could be a dominating LT.

starks wont come cheap we would have to give up draft picks to get him the steelers tendered him with a 1st and 3rd pick i believe

its luke pettigout but yes hes available

You should probably make sure you have it right yourself if you are going to correct people. It actually is spelled Petitgout, as the poster you corrected had spelled it.

I think Pettigout would be a good signing. Let him and Alabi battle it out in camp.
