During the game with the Jets the team moved Suh out to DE rush the passer on a few plays and he did really well beating Ferguson. Why don't we move Suh outside full time.

The starting offensive line would be Suh, Mitchell, Phillips, and Vernon. On obvious passing downs move Suh back in to DT and bring in Shelby.

We have enough DT's on the roster to pull this off with Suh, Mitchell, Phillips, Mosley and Francis. I know everyone is going to say that we didn't bring Suh in to play DE, but we have seen that the run defense isn't working with the status quo. And Suh can rush the passer from anywhere. With Wake gone we can't allow teams to run the ball on us, because we aren't going to consistently get enough pressure on the QB on passing downs.

Let me know what you guys think.

The good thing about Suh is you can get very creative with him. I just don't like are D Coordinator and the one prior, they really blow.

The whole point of getting Suh was for him to force pressure up the middle. So this is not a good idea.

Unfortunately, that point is negated by the terrible play of his DEs and LBs, so they are going to have to get creative with how they play him.

I always thought a 3-4 was better then the 4-3 simply because in the 3-4 you dont know whos coming or blitzing and the 4-3 you know where def players lined up, unless you have the defense lead by zach thomas, jason taylor, tim bowens, daryle gardener patrick surtain, sam madison, brian walker, brooke marion, adelwale ogunleye.

You can move Suh whereever you like but you still have subpar players playing elsewhere. No other DT can stop the run so it makes our defense worse

If you move Suh to DE, they will just run the ball to the opposite side every time. The players around him aren't stepping up, that's the problem. It's time for Vernon and Shelby to start playing football, but I fear it's far too late.

Our linebackers suck... you can count the numbers of plays they made on one hand. Unacceptable not to have address that during the off season. I think that is a bigger priority than the line right now.

How true
PFF "everyone's" favorite evaluation site had

Wake 128th,Vernon 107th
Derrick Shelby 40th,
Earl Mitchell (rated 187th among 187 qualifying interior defenders
Sheppard, rated 142nd of 162 lbs against the run.

OUCH...OUCH...OUCH
Jordan Phillips and CJ Mosley are 172nd and 173rd
