Before Miami moves on to the Jets this Sunday, I have to give praise to some performances from the Chargers game. It starts with Gus. What a game for him! I swear that was his best game all season. I don't care what the stats say. That concussion must have sparked something. He was avoiding the pass rush unlike anything I have seen this season. He definitely did not want another concussion. I hope he keeps it up. That scamble and pass to Booker in the 4th quarter was all-pro material!! It was ridiculous!
Next, some praise for the defense. Zach Thomas played with a busted shoulder. And not only did he play, but he played great! He ripped that ball away from Mr. All-pro Gates. Bell had a great game too. He came up with a HUGE strip from Brees at the end by blowing right by Mr. All-pro LT on the blitz. I really think Bell has a solid spot at the safety position next season. Right now, I think he is the best safety on the team. Schulters is average. He made that great play against Carolina in the beginning of the season and then got real quiet. No complaints with Schulters, but I just think Bell is much better.
On the flip side, Miami's running backs almost cost them the game several times against the Chargers. What a bad game for them. It may have been their worst showing all season. Ronnie really did go all out on that dive for the TD, but it could have been EXTREMELY costly. I really hope that Ricky & Ronnie both have a big game against the Jets to make up for last Sunday. GO FINS!!
