Please, let's not limit it to Brett Favre. Although he definitely deserves one: @#$^ you, Brett Favre.

@#$^ you Eric Mangini. You rat *******.

@#$^ you NFL. I don't care what anyone else says: when a team goes 11-5 and doesn't make the playoffs, yet teams who go 8-8 do, that's just #@$&ing BULL****. Figure something else out. Reorganize it. I don't know, do SOMETHING. Yes, it hasn't happened for 22 years: that doesn't excuse it. This is the first time since the NFL has gone to a 12-playoff-team format that this has happened, IIRC.

@#$^ you, Seattle Seahawks, for losing to Miami by 2. @#$^ you, Oakland Raiders, for losing to Miami by 2. #$^* you, St. Louis Rams, for losing to Miami by 4. #$^# you, San Francisco 49ers, for losing to Miami by 5. Any of you @#$$ing *******s manage not to #%&$ up your games and the Pats win the East.

Last but not least, while I admire the gritty resilience they showed this season in overcoming severe injuries... a little #$@^ you to my own dear New England Patriots. You let this Miami team come up to Foxboro and kick your @#$^ing ***** up and down the field in the most pathetic display we've seen in years. You also managed to lose to the @#^&ing pathetic Jets at home as well, and you lost a winnable game in Indy. Yes, it sucks that you're 11-5 and going home... but it sucks even more because you could've EASILY been 12-4. You're going home because you lose every friggin' tiebreaker possible. Climbing the mountain doesn't matter a whole lot if you get 100 yards from the peak and fall off the @#$^ing mountain.

And #@$& me for starting to believe it would happen this season.

Favre is quite possibly the most overrated QB in NFL history. He reminds me a lot of Drew Bledsoe: an average QB, but would always make the crucial mistake at the worst possible time. And realize this as well: each time that we have missed the playoffs since 2001, it has been ol' Brett that helped make it possible. **** him, **** the Jets, **** the Dolphins!

I hate Favre. I hated him when I lived in Wisconsin for a few years and I hate him now. He sucks *** and is one of the most over-rated players of all time. THanks for nothing, douche bag.

this one is priceless

I'm burning all my Wranglers

How about @#$^ you, New England Patriots for losing to Miami by 25?

Merge...there's already a thread about Patriot Planet

Wow now thats just nuts. I think it is kinda messed up a 11-5 team will miss the playoffs for the 1st time since the broncos in the 80's but its just how it happens.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving team!:woot:

It feels great to win the AFC East!!! AFC EAST CHAMPIONS!!!

As much as I dislike the Patriots, I can honestly say I can empathize with them. Empathize not sympathize. I don't think anyone here could honestly say they wouldn't feel cheated if we finished 11-5 and missed the playoffs, while a 9-7 or 8-8 team got in. That's just horse****. I don't feel sorry for the Patsies. Enjoy the playoffs from your living room. But the current seeding process in the NFL is broken.

The Broncos went 11-5 and didn't get in one year, we went 10-6 and didn't get in. Sorry, but that is the way it is set up. I think it is fair.

Those are the rules. Division champs always get in.
This year there just happen to be 2 very good wildcard teams (Colts and Ravens) and both will likely be favored next week.
The Phins missed out on the playoffs with a 10-6 record several yrs back.
The argument is a moot one. Kind of like a presidential election with the electoral college argument vs popular vote.
Your either for or against the rule depending on if it benefits your candidate/football team.

I can understand where you're coming from, but keep in mind that the Patriots couldn't beat that 8-8 team that made the playoffs (I'm assuming the Chargers are going to win).
