On Late Hits on Sirius, one of the guys mentioned he talked with BP recently and Bill said he really likes Beck. He mentioned Beck is on a strength program to bulk up. This guy also mentioned that after talking with BP there was no way they would be drafting a QB with the first pick.

Just relaying what I heard, so take it for what it is.
 
Great news if true...im a huge supporter of Beck and am ready for a lengthy period of "Beck goes deep to Ginn"....Touchdown!!!
 
thats good to know, i'm not a big fan of us taking Ryan at #1. I wouldnt mind seeing Beck actually get a legitimate shot at starting this the end of last year was a joke. He had no skill players to work with and an average o-line to protect him. Although i definitely wouldnt mind seeing us take a QB later down the line of draft weekend.
 
No way the Dolphins will be drafting a QB with the first pick? That's disappointing...maybe.
 
I would definately love for Beck to succeed. :woot: I'm also a fan of us drafting Chris Long. I think he might be something special.
 
Wow. Great news. Because we all know how credible "some guy" is. Does anyone honestly think Bill Parcells would say he didn't like John Beck, even if he actually didn't?

I Pray we draft Chris Long. He is the kind of Leader we are going to need on the field and in the locker room that we are going to miss without Zach here! It's a new era in Dolphins Football and I think he would be a sign of good things to come!

The guys name is Gill, but I dont know his last name. His exact words were he had a lengthy conversation with Bill and he said that he really liked Beck. BP could have just said he had no comment on the QB situation with draft approching, but he didnt.

Not like BP would say that as some sort of smoke screen because its really not. With Bill saying that it tells Atlanta they probably wont take Ryan so there really is no value to that.

We've heard from multiple sources that BP likes Beck, so its time to start accepting the fact they wont take a QB at #1.
 
I'm hoping for Beck to be given the chance to become the QB the franchise needs. While he doesn't fit the BP profile of previous QBs he has had in the past, he does have a quick release and strong arm which several QBs in this draft don't have. While a few QBs have great potential in this draft so does BECK.
 
Did Bill tell him specifically that they wont be drafting Ryan or did he just assume that because Bill told him he likes Beck?

yes, he would, see Terry Glenn when he was drafted.:winkwink:
