Some more details on the Bess situation

I will take the blonde. Far right. The one with the most jiggly ass!

I also hope the very best for Devon Bess.

He sounds like he's really struggling, I hope he gets the help he needs to get his life back on the straight and narrow. While i'm sure his NFL life is over he's still got a lot of living left to do and it would be a tragedy for him to throw the rest of it away by not seeking professional help.

I really don't have any sympathy for the guy. My sympathy is really reserved for the kids that
went through all the same stuff or worse that he did, but weren't given opportunity after
opportunity to turn their lives around. Honestly, Bess doesn't get a whole lot more than
contempt from me. He's seen both sides of life, and obviously chosen the one that leads
to what he knows to be destruction and grief.

There are offenders at the prisons I work at that I have boatloads more sympathy for, because
they didn't have things handed to them over and over and over again based on absolutely
nothing more than talent at playing a professional sport.

That probably sounds insensitive. Eh, so be it.

One thing I will say is that being hit by an expandable baton in the leg isn't
pleasant, it's not going to at all going to affect a guy that's mentally unstable
and/or on drugs. It probably would've been safer for everyone involved to
use a taser on him. I'm glad nobody else was hurt.

I agree. I have no sympathy for him. He had a nice career going. He will join that large trash heap of NFL players that could not manage their money and personal life. Pity.

I'd honestly have more sympathy for say.....Andrew Luck if he got into drugs and spiraled down because
he would have had nothing but second hand knowledge about what all that lifestyle brings, socioecenomicly
speaking. For instance, while he may have had the experience with addiction and, the consequences, I
wager he's never seen his grandfather shot at a birthday party, nor grew up in anything other than the
most priviledged of environments.

It's one thing to go into the darkness when you don't have much of an idea about what's there. It's a
while 'nother bundle of sticks when not only know what's out there in the dark, but at one time came
OUT of that same darkness, then willingly went back out into it.

Sound like mental issues, I hope Bess gets the help he needs before its too late....

Send lawyers guns and money. I hope he gets the help he needs. He always worked hard for this team.

Hey, it could be worse. He could be Darren Sharper, who just got arrested for rape.

Falling off the horse with a little coke and weed doesn't seem so bad now.

It is bad enough to spend money on attorneys, spend a portion of your life in jail or prison, and lose your best source of income...if you are Devone Bess.
These guys are idiots.

Bess obviously has mental issues and that can happen to anybody irregardless of opportunities or not. Cut the guy some slack and be thankful that it's not you or someone you care about going through his pain.
