Word around forums all over is that when Nolan was DC for the Ravens Rex Ryan was the D Line assistant and he learned from Nolan but implied a 4 6 that he learned from his dad and is a bit more aggressive than Nolan.
Everyone is also saying Nolan is a HUGE hire adn that the Jets and Fins game next year will be all about hte defense and who out smarts who on Defense.
Also saying adding 1 top WR can make us SB contendors just bc how good Nolan is at scheming with players rather than needing players to scheme.
another note, he brought Willis, Franklin, Gore, Justin Smith, and Walt Harris along iwth Clement on that team as a HC...expect some new signings on Def from NT to LB to S for sure.
I think at this point Sheffler is a sure fire Miami bound and the WR we will go after is either Bryant or Marshall if Nolan and Marshall convince BP and comp. that he isn't what the team made him out to be.
One concern is that Denver started games off very slow on defense but were extremely strong 2nd half team and adjusted by going lights out in the 2nd half....which was our weakness as was starting off a weakness at least this way we cancel one of hte 2 weaknesses loll.
last 8 games of hte year apparently they gave up 30 pts a game avg but the teams offense was horrendous and resulted in the D beingon the field half the time accordingto fans along with Hill and Goodman playing extremely well and better than they did in Miami.
All in all, can't wait to see what he does with guys like Wake, Davis, and Smith...potential Pro Bowl and elite status years can be in stored for them but lets keep things in perspective and not get OVERLY hyped until we see how things play out.
BTW Imagine we ge Dansby with his coverage ability with a 3-4 taht blitzes like a mo'fo you nevre know whose going to blitz and who is going to cover.
