First, let me say that if you didn't get the game, you didn't miss a thing. Boring and painful to watch.

Alright, on to the game.

1. QB - Gus is not the right QB for this team. We need a guy that makes faster decisions and is more mobile. Gus is a statue and makes poor throws on the move and with this OL, the QB is going to have to move. Not sure if Sage is the guy either.

2. RB - Ronnie, He's a good young back and it was still a bad pick for us. We need at least three offensive lineman or it doesn't matter who is running back there. The TD run showed the kid is tough. He'll be good, but it won't matter unless we start blocking.

3. DBs - Daniels, He can play, just give him a little time. Howard - He can't play, no matter how much time you give him. WE could use a safety.

4. Fight - The team has got fight and you could see Zach and JAson out there fighting, even after the game was over. But, we got some dead weight. I'm not going to name any names, but there are at least two guys that looked like they were making dinner plans.

5. LBs - Spragan played alright, but Crowder gets out of position too much. He's young, and you have to allow for it, but it hurts to watch him overpursue or get stiff armed to the ground by a smaller guy.

6. OL - there is no point getting upset at them anymore. We just don't have the players. They are just not good. A team could carry one or two of these guys, but 5? We need a big upgrade.

7. Tackling - I know this sounds silly, but someone has to teach tackling. We have to wrap up instead of diving at the guys legs. Lance SHulters got run over so much he should change his name to pavement. The worst offenders? SHulters, Crowder, and Howard.

8. The bright spot? Wes Welker again. Otherwise its hard to see how this team really gets better. Can't call it mistakes. Only a few penalties this time. But, we just don't have the personel. Watching KCs OL just makes you jealous. We have decent skill guys, but it comes down to the trenches and we still have nothing at all.

It's going to be a tough year, but we are going to have to believe that Nick has a plan.

No, we don't. I don't. In fact, I never did.

There is still time for him to fix some of his mistakes. Frerotte, of course, being the biggest. Linehan I assume is the second biggest.

My guess is Linehan will be gone after the season...and he'll take his game manager with him back to Minn.

In Linehan's defense, his playcalling looks a lot better if Frerotte puts a ball where it is supposed to be, and some WR's make catches they should make. Not to say that his play-calling was great, but the players do have to execute.

I've been pretty critical of Linehan tonight, but I think I still prefer him over Kippy Brown and Co.

Our 1st, 3rd, and 4th round picks are starting as rookies. Crowder and Daniels may have their issues, but its mainly due to lack of experience. This should be reason for optimism. Next year we'll have another good draft, plus the cap space to make some major moves. We could end up with Drew Brees, a 1st round LT, Will Poole coming back from injury, etc. Even though we may only win 6-7 games this season, the loser's mentality that this team reeks of will not last.

4. The entire Defense needs to fight if you want to shut down the Chiefs offense. Did they do it? Nope. They allowed Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes to run for 183 runs. They weren't physical and they were thinking instead of making the tackle. The Dolphins aren't going to win games that way and we clearly showed why.

Priest Holmes TD run was in part due to Crowder over-pursuing and leaving the cutback open for Homes - it was as clear as day in the TV replay.

To get to 6-7 games won....you first have to win 3.

Yeah, it was pretty clear, plus a missed tackle. Crowder has talent, but he has gor a ways to go.

Crowder didn't have too bad of a game going up against an incredible offensive system like that, especially for a young guy, and Jason Taylor played a hell of lot better than i thought he would, the guys a gamer. What i cant STAND is the fact that the Miami secondary was absolutely disgraceful, i thought to myself all week that guys like Eddie Kennison and Tony Gonzalez would have huge games because we SUCK at pass coverage, but when they did i was absolutely baffled. Why does Reggie Howard even have a roster spot!

AS much as I would like to defend the secondary, it is kind of tough. I think Daniels will be ok, but the safeties are not very good and Madision is not what he used to be. But, it is a combination of things as well. We don't get pressure from the down 4 so we blitz a lot and that leaves one on one coverage and then its look for Reggie Howard's man. If we don't get to the QB quick you just want to shut your eyes.

Well I do.

Linehan likes to throw, and I like that. We are so conditioned to think we need to run, run, run all the time that when we throw it's shocking. If the pass is completed, you'd all shrug it off. If Gus makes a bad throw or Chambers does his disappearing act and the pass is incomplete, you all whine.

With the exception of maybe 4 plays that should have been runs, I think Scott did a great job. I think he's done great all season we just haven't executed his plays. How can you fault him, when the plays aren't executed? He just calls the plays, he doesn't get the players or coach them.

I like Scott, he's unpredictable and creative. Something we've been missing for a very, very long time.

If you've been around the guy and spent time inside the organization, I think you'd feel differently. I was lucky enough to have that opportunity recently. And I couldn't feel more differently.

Linehan is a blessing. It's a player issue IMO. Frerotte has failed to complete 50% of his passes in four of the past five games. This week he converted 38%. Gus has struggled mightily with accuracy the past few games. He has left several plays and points on the field. He converts on half of those and Linehan is a genius. And the Dolphins aren't 2-4.

It's not just Frerotte. It's everybody. Penalties, dropped passes, poor blocking. But he's the QB and it starts with him.

I only saw the highlights. But from a seasonal standpoint, I agree with this.

But why does Linehan keep trying to jam the square peg in the round hole? He's not working with Culpepper and Moss here. Sure Gus is leaving plays out on the field, but that's because we're trying to WIN with Gus.
