1. The line needs alot of work together in run and pass blocking. I think we have a good set of players in here they just need to gell.

2. Channing Crowder is a much better player than given credit for and I would take him over any linebacker on our roster.

3.Matt Roth showed some potential more than he has shown since he has been here.

4.Joey Porter although he did some good things is more talk than walk.

5.Jason ferguson seemed to get handled pretty damn good by jets and was a non factor.

6. Our wide receivers are not very good and it seems we may have alot of trouble getting Ginn involved in offense.

7. Pennington still is the best qb we have had since Marino.

8. The Te's looked very good catching the ball, even the waste of space Martin who is much better in a backup role.

9-Yermiah Bell seems to be back and ready to be our best DB.

10- Dan Henning is not the right coordinator for this team, we really need some much fresher ideas.

11. We are not as bad as last year and we showed some hope.

The WRs were nonexistent. There is a lot of talent at the position, but they don't show it during the regular season. With one starter quality receiver the Dolphins probably would have won.

Anyone who doesn't run from the 2 with the running backs on this team at least once is not the right coordinator for this team.

Definately, Bell looks excellent.

1. Our OL especially in the passing game was awesome. Chad had time to look at the 2nd and sometimes 3rd option. This is the NFL and you just won't get more time than we had today. Their guys get paid also. Running game will suffer until we prove we have a vertical passing game.
2. Channing had a good game, agreed
3. Don't see what you saw in Roth
4. I liked Joeys game better than Roth
5. Agreed they handled us up front.
6. I have been saying that for two years. Ginn is not a #1. Slot maybe but speed does not make a receiver.
7. Chad to me is a carbon copy of Jay Fielder. Only with less accuracy. I thought Chad was supposed to be accurate. He wasn't today. He did not hit a reciever in stride on one single pass today. Maybe he was feeling pressure playing his old team or whatever but today was not a good showing especially in the accuracy deptment. He is a solid QB and can lead us to wins but he will not win games for us, like I said just like Jay.
8. TEs agreed, a surprisingly good showing
9. Bell, agreed
10. Henning is not the best there is but he will be fine. This was our first game and we will be fine.
11. Agreed, we can't win them all and will probably never beat the jets again as long as we live. There are 30 other teams that we can beat we just have to face the fact that we will never beat the jets.

Also I would like to point out if they had not lost their FG kicker we would have won. They would have had 10 instead of 13 at half which would have allowed us to go for a FG instead of going for a TD on 4th down late. Then the score would have been tied on the last drive where we were in FG range when the game ended which would have given us the win.

But then they wouldn't have been squibbing it all day long.

A less accurate Jay Fiedler? If you haven't noticed Chads completion percentage in #1 in NFL history. Pretty hard to be accurate when you have crap recievers that can't get open. Good thing we had Fasano and Martin today. The TD passes to both TE's looks pretty darn accurate to me.

I agree with your assesment dlockz. The answer barring a trade is not on our roster at WR. We need a WR transfusion and a young stud NT and better DB's before we can make some noise.

Our OL still needs time to gell and be evaulated where it might still have a hole. I think it will take 2 more offseasons to fix what still needs to be fixed before we can really compete for a title.

However, there is room for optimism unlike in previous years. We have some players that will be studs in time. K. Langford is a real find at DE for one.

Agree with your statement about Crowder and Bell. Each had 10 tackles and 7 solo tackles. We really have to shore up our run defense outside the tackles but outside of that there was a lot of improvement in the defense.

Agreed. We need a bit more cohesiveness. Long, despite the penalties did ok.

Not quite sold on either, yet, but not a bad start. Crowder did ok, so did Roth. Roth failed to contain the outside a few times.

4.Joey Porter although he did some good things is more talk than walk.
Agreed

5.Jason ferguson seemed to get handled pretty damn good by jets and was a non factor.
Thought he did ok. Collapsed the front a few times, but Jones got too many yards.

6. Our wide receivers are not very good and it seems we may have alot of trouble getting Ginn involved in offense.
Painful to watch. I really hate to say Bess looks better than Ginn.

7. Pennington still is the best qb we have had since Marino.
Yes, but not saying that much. Pennington should be able to do what Cam wanted Green to do last year. Chad played ok. Made a few mistakes and not as accurate as I wanted, but we were in position to win. Passes are sometimes too painful to watch.

8. The Te's looked very good catching the ball, even the waste of space Martin who is much better in a backup role.

Agreed on these points.

I think we need a better plan for Ricky and Ronnie. I don't think we utilized them that well. Our 2 shots from the 2 pretty well sucked. Two weak passes. I think we should have run Ricky or Ronnie on 3rd down, but I guess a play call is only good if it works.

Our DB's, despite their experience are still not that good, and the defenses weakness. Not impressed with Crocker in the game. I think we will regret not upgrading the secondary.
