It absolutely baffles my mind sometimes when I read some of the things some of you guys say. For a period of 2 weeks, everyone and their mom loves Drew Brees, and their were a lot of Culpepper bashers. I am saying it was at least 85-15. And NOONE was talking crap about Brees. Now all of a sudden everyone is hating on Drew Brees, and even worse, still talking about Culpepper, who we should be embracing and be thrilled to have. I wish I was a member of FinHeaven when we were looking for a coach last year. Because I bet half you guys thought Saban was a terrible pick. Or when we drafted Ronnie Brown, I bet there were 100 threads about how he sucked, had never started blah blah blah. Or when it was announced Ricky wanted to come back. I could go on and on, it is just amusing to me. Do some of you people watch football? Do some of you people even think before you post?

Damn it all to hell!!! How dare people change their minds!!!

Look, it's very easy to get caught up the hype of the prospect of a good, young quarterback coming off a pro-bowl year. But as has been said before, Hind Sight is 20/20. Now that the dust has settled it's easier to see that a shoulrder injury really is worse than a knee injury for a quarterback and that is a major reason why Saban didn't offer Brees more than was on the table. This deal makes more sense now that it's done. I think the hate for Brees began before this was even over. How many more times could we stand hearing "Brees will make a decision today" and have it not come true. It got frustrating...very frustrating. Culpepper wanted to be here and now he's here. What more could you ask for!

We Dolphans support who is on the team!!!!!!!! DC is a Dolphins DB is a Saint. Ha Ha Ha good luck Brees.

Some people think, some people don't. That is the nature of an open forum. And if you look around the culture we are in you will see that swaying whatever way the wind is blowing is the predominate mode of operation for most people in just about everything in life- not just what QB the Dolphins are going to get.

My pants have gotten tighter with every move Miami has made since getting rid of Wanny! :bugeye:

That's what makes this forum and the entire world a great place. If everyone agreed with everyone else this forum would be boring and actually dull. I don't agree with everything everyone posts, but differing points of view can be refreshing and enlightening. Usually after a loss I don't come on here because all the crying and whining that goes on, I wait a few days and come back once it's all calmed down. But in the end this is the best Dolphins forum in the world, and in my opinion the best fan forum as well.

well to be honest i will completely state my position on the whole thing..
yes i am one of the guys that wanted drew brees here... reason was because i didnt want to give up a draft pick... because in reality culpepper would be a better fit here than brees... but for some reason i still wanted brees... im not upset for the culpepper deal im happy.. just the second round pick is about the only bad side for the dolphins... so with that i will say daunte... make your performance not even think about the 2nd rounder we gave up for you.. just dont turn into A.J feely!!!! AND welcome home ... to the SUNSHINE STATE!!!

I wasn't in favor of bringing Culpepper in from the very begining. However, he's now a member of the team I love and wholeheartedly support so I've gotta be supportive of Daunte, too. I'm honestly not happy about him being here, but would be very happy to be proven wrong about that. Only time will tell. Plus, Saban hasn't made a wrong move yet so I've gotta trust his decision.

Cool! I snagged it from ESPN but haven't taken the time to edit the Fins uni on him. Good job with that.

Exactly..

I think that everyone should welcome him with open arms. I really do not see any good argument against him. The Moss argument, Chambers is not Moss, but he is the same type of explosive jump ball type receiver, plus the Vikings never had a Ronnie Brown (maybe Ricky too) since Robert Smith retired. And McMichael is as good as any TE he has played with yet. The argument about his knee? Their are reports that he will back by week 1. Mort said that he has already started running. Mort also said that there were like 20 phone calls between Nick and DC. So out of all the arguments you could make with Brees and DC, and there are a lot, how about the simple fact that DC absolutely wanted to be here. If Brees absolutely wanted to play here, he would be here. I should make a list of all the Daunte bashers, and then after week 8 when we are 6-2 and those bashers are singing his praises, just remind those bashers of their comments. I for one can not wait to get DC in here and started.

We also have to remember, if this hasn't been brought up already, that even though Moss helped Culpeppers numbers, Culpepper could have just as easily helped Moss's numbers. Why can't we look at it that way? Besides, if we want to make that argument we can also say that Brees also had the best running back (LT) in the game and perhaps the best TE (Gates) in the game as well. You don't think that helped his numbers? I honestly don't know why these areguments are just now starting to surface but that's how it is. We always feel the need to justify our decisions (Saban's decisions in this case) but I don't think this decision needs much justification. It's done...over with...we have out franchise QB...MOVE ON FOLKS!

there were plenty who hated Saban becoming our coach sevensaw, it was horrible. We prolly would still have a lot of hatin' going on now but for the "Fineas manifesto" it shuts up the unreasonable arguments.

After reading this, apparently not.
