Many of you are saying don't take Quinn bacause he can't win a big game. And then in the same breathe you say to take Palco, Palmer, Kolb, Stanton or Trent Edwards. How many "BIG" games have they won? It takes more than a QB to win big games. Notre Dame has been one of the least talented big time programs for years.

We have been without a real QB for a long time.

Also the same guys who are saying Quinn never won a big game, I guess you all hated Marino. How many super bowls did he win?
 
Not defending anyone but maybe they are looking at how he has played against better teams. ND is known for playing St Mary's school for the blind and getting to beat on all the service schools every year. I don't have any numbers, and I really like what I've seen from Brady Quinn the last 2 years.

yeah your completely wrong the only games brady quinn looses is when he plays the likes of michigan usc LSU this year...so he looses the games that he plays against big time programs...

By the way those three teams all could have played for the nation championship....
 
how bout the Mich St game this year, the Penn St game this year, and the UCLA game, he played well in those with the exception of the beginning of the Mich St game.

Last year, he played well in the USC game, and if the defense hadnt blown it in the last few seconds, we wouldnt even be haning this convo.
 
The reason that Brady Quinn didn't win many big games was because his team was very overrated and not nearly as good as most people made them out to be. They were incredibly talented at the skill positions on offense, but the o-line was shaky and the defense was absolutely awful. It was not Quinn's fault that ND lost, if you look his stats in those "big games" there really was only one time where he had a negative affect on the team, which was a 3 TD, 3 INT game. Those losses were only 'big" because they were way overhyped, and they lost because of the defense. Don't blame Quinn for ND's problems, if it weren't for him I'm pretty sure they would have struggled to win half their games.
 
i think he has shown he could play but he looks like a guy that played with the dolphins this year Joey if we are going to give him a shot he better work out i still think we should give daunte a shot to start in 07.
 
ND lost those games because they had no defense.....Quinn is a good qb
 
I guess all the paid NFL scouts are wrong and the cops, teachers, mailmen, etc on this board are correct.

How was I completely wrong? Notre Dame loses to better teams and beats the lowly ones. Pretty much what I typed earlier.

They spew that "big game" nonesense about Quinn because they want to seem like legitimate talent evaluaters looking for an "I told you so" in the future.

If you guys think Miami is going to pass on Quinn if he falls to 9 :sidelol: .

With this teams total draft incompetence I wouldn't be surprised by anything at this point.
 
I Just Want The Right Guy.. Big Game Winner Or Not.. Qb, Wr, Cb...lb Whatever Position..
In Three Years, All That Matters Is That If Got The Right Guy...

We do just base our opinion on what we think will happen. NFL scouts do know it all I mean look at Ryan Leaf because there are never busts in the NFL.
