Im serious, some of you guys are the worst fans I have ever seen. Like Im in shock of some of the threads started here after that game. Let me start by saying that I think we played OK. We didnt play great, and we didnt play poorly either. Were an extremely young team, and its going to take time to get chemistry. We fought hard this game and were 20 yards from a big win. Some of you guys are truly morons.
 
lot of the same red flags we saw last year though.......so you can't blame people.

True but he's got a point people are crazy, could we have won the game you bet. But people who thought we'd go 11-5, 10-6 or whatever are just not thinking straight, we won 1 game last year we will win 5 or 6 this year probably, we lost to a team that people are saying will make the playoffs so I am not too upset, I'd like to win but we've got some growing pains here. It's a new regime.
 
Last year, how many games did we lose in the waning seconds? How many by 7 or less?

I can see why some people are wary, but most of it is just a fresh wound.
 
It's no different than any other year around here. I know you just joined this year, but it's old hat. When they win a game, people come out of the woodwork and jock every player that did anything in the game. When they lose, people piss and moan about every little thing.

That's pretty much what you're going to get around here. Rational thought is the exception, not the rule. Better get used to it.
 
I agree to a point, it's one game. However, it has been a long off season after a 1-15 year, and we lost to the Jets at home. Let people vent, things will settle down by the end of the week. Tough one to swallow though. The Jets aren't going anywhere again, that is pretty obvious.
 
It's just emotion... Give it a little time and it will pass... To be honest I think a little passion from the fanbase is not a bad thing even if it is misdirected at times.
 
Last year is last year this is another team and a different year enough of the same bull**** excuses the phins should have won this game.

I think people are upset the most about losing to the jets at home in the first week of the season. Miami just couldn't do that and expect the fans to take it lightly. True, Miami has such a big ways to go to be good, but they are professionals and let's face it, are just as good as the jets. This was a game they needed to win.
 
some teams find ways to win. we find ways to lose.
 
I am as dismayed as everyone else, but to say that we won't go say 10-6 is not fair after one game. Nothing is ever as it seems in the first game. We killed the Broncs a couple of years ago in the first game and we did not carry that over into the other games.

Point and case, Giants were creamed by the Cowboys first game last year. Young defense, vet quarterback, questionable receivers. I am not saying that we are going to win the Super Bowl, but to freak out about the first game is ridiculus.

P.S. How would you like to be the Texans, Seahawks, or Rams today. Just asking.
 
agreed goodman shouldn't be on the field, there were several missed calls by the refs
 
The dolphins played a hell of a game today. Satele did get bullied alot, the miscues for Long and the sacks at the most important times stalled the offense. The only mistake I seen from the defense was the lob touchdown that hurt them mentally for awhile. You have to think about it...we have alot of youth and losing will come with the territory. Fans will be fans and say things they don't mean like me but at the end of the day/game we're still dolphin fans.

Well this moron saw an improved 4-12 team playing a 1-15 team making the exact same mistakes as what we saw last year.
Some really strange play calling, bad clock management, an inconsistent QB,
a defense that wow's ya and then makes ya shake your head, and on and on. Personally I get a kick out of all the moronic threads.
I do however get ticked over threads telling me how to conduct myself as a Miami Dolphin fan.
We all have opinions, are we not allowed to express them?
As a side note, there's always the VIP where moronic threads are not allowed!
