last night had some of the worst officiating ever. that pi call in the 4th was garbage. edwards is a diva if it was really pi he would of been crying to the ref trying to get a flag. without all those crapy calls we win by 10-15 points easy. even jet fans know those calls where crap. i couldnt stop yelling at my tv.

Yeah really. If we had lost, the officiating would really be a HUGE topic right now. Even Jets fans were saying that EVERY call was given to them. And they were right.

bull caca calls man i was so made when they called the late hit play on gibril wilson! he finally did something right and the refs mess it up i mean the receiver touched the ball!!!!!!!! how is that a late hit or watever crap they called its football

What really peeved me is Ron Jaworski couldn't stop whining about that intentional grounding call against Sanchez, but didn't say a word about that awful PI call in the 4th. He's been down on Miami in both MNF games, he has made it clear he thinks the Wildcat is a gimmick, and my respect for the guy is at an all-time low. Gruden I love as much as he loves the Wildcat, its not often you get commentary from a Super Bowl winning coach who usually knows what he's talking about outside of Madden in his early commentary days.

It was awful but unfortunately has become part of the game that teams need to overcome. In the days prior to instant replay the officiating was stellar. It's almost as if the refs know they have instant replay to rely on so they don't need to be as focused in live speed. Sounds crazy but makes sense if you think about it.

1. B.E TD turned over - it's suppose to inconclusive to over turn and it wasn't so the play should have stood.

2. Wilson Hit on Keller - the ball was uncatchable and he did a small body check therefore the uncatchable ball nullifies any small penalty. If he took the guys head off with his helmet then I understand the call.

3. W.Allens PI late in the 4th - both players were using their hands down the field, non of which was severe enough to justify a 50 yard penalty.

4. The non call of holding on Fasano's catch over the middle - the fact that the defender was draped all over him was enough to justify a call but the fact that after Fasano caught it he was brought down by a leg whip. Three referee's would have been watching the play and not one saw it? Fasano would have gained a minimum of 15 more yards on the play if not the house.

5. Sanchez grounding - he was in the grasp of the defender in the pocket and threw the ball 20 yards in out of bounds, easy call.

6. Henne not getting a intentional grounding call - rolled out of the pocket, the pocket rolled (slid) with him he threw the ball away with no real pressure except a JET running at him. The pocket is determined during the snap of the ball not where the OT's end up by the throw, thus a pulling tackle on a scrren doesn't extend the pocket for the penalty.

Overall the refs did a good job, unfortunately the 4 penalties they messed up were huge. The BE TD resulted in a TD but what if they fumbled or we stuffed them. The 50 yard penalty should be able to be reviewed - that's a game changer and to leave that on a bad call is ridiculous.

i thought the Gibril Wilson hit and the pass interference were ridiculous.

Ticky tack....all night long, especially that PI call. I've seen WRs get mugged before the ball got to them, and not even get a call. Even MOST rational Jets fans acknowledge that was a bogus PI call.

The NFL should have instant replays on pass interference...especially when they give a team first and goal from the one. Maybe it should only be a fifteen yard penalty and a first down like in college if they don't want to replay it and get the call right. The refs blew last night for sure.

ron jaworski lost all credibility with me when he said john beck was the best qb the year we drafted him. i believed him got my hopes up the realized john beck was a pu##y

Our secondary didn't play as bad as people say they did. I personally thought they were solid last night. The big plays we gave up were bogus penalties. That was a nice play Sean Smith made on Braylon though that broke up a potential big play.
