"Going into the Miami game I didn't think they were a very good team. For the same reasons that many people thought....Gus Frerotte being the starter, starting a rookie running back, questions on the offensive line, new head coach (although he's a great coach),etc. But after watching Denver kick KC's *** last night, I think I'm changing my mind. KC isn't a bad team, but Denver made them look bad. And Miami kicked the crap out of Denver as well as beat us. So I guess what I'm saying is I'm taking a moral victory in the close defeat at Miami. Miami is going to make the playoffs in the AFC, and we'll still make the play-offs in the NFC."

Going by the quote, logic would dictate that our Fins... ARE good!

they better recognize

before season started, i said that if we get at least 2 wins when ricky returns, playoffs here we come.

I think the Playoffs are definetly a realistic goal...

I said the playoffs are realistic MONTHS ago. We can beat any team out there right now. When Ricky comes back, we'll be damn scary. I'm hoping we bring in a veteran CB or two (Buckley maybe?). That will certainly help. ANYONE would be an upgrade over Howard.

Personally, I think we have to worry about the Steelers the most. They can really beat you up... when Duce Staley & Jerome Bettis are healthy.

Perhaps the biggest factor of success is staying healthy and Miami's ability to execute!

Thats how we lost to the stinking Jets.

let's look at that... In order to get into the playoffs we will need at least a 9-7 record...

Now I realise this is only week 4 so to jump the gun would be foolish, but hypothetically speaking and for the sake of convo. The teams that are looking pretty solid and will be contending for a playoff spot are...

Bengals
Steelers
Pats
Colts
Jags
Chiefs
Broncos
Dolphins

The Chargers have a very slight outside chance but have a really tough schedule ahead....

That's 8 teams right there... now, we have the tie break with Denver and we play The Pats twice, and Chiefs from those teams listed above... So if we split with the Pats and beat the Chiefs at hoe... we should be locked in at least as a wildcard...

<removed> the wildcard spot...we want the division. "It will be mine...oh yes.. it will be mine" or ours rather.

Mod Edit: The profanity filter is there for a reason. Do not try to circumvent it.

Well lets hope we can stay healthy!

Im and optimist but also a realist...

I remember last year at this time we lost T Bo and Chester... then opposing teams started to run against us!

With no offense... our D got worn down fast.

Hopefully this year... our guys will be making it into the playoffs!

It all depends on how The patriots do and how they make up for their recent injuries... We just NEED to stop the stupid penalties

You mean there starting rb even when both come back.. willie parker

Well in all fairness, losing to a non-playoff team would make them look bad. Calling us a playoff team makes them losing a little easier to handle. That being said, I don't disagree with them.

lets hope that everyone on the team stays healthy... and the playoffs are a most def...
the offense will be there ... early on the season the offenses tend to have lots of flaws, but as the season goes on,the mistakes get corrected and they start to function as they should ...plus all of the other teams on our division are with injured players... and in a couple of weeks we get ricky back....things are looking good for the team short, medium, and long term.
i love the new dolphins era...
