The following are excerts from Pittsburgh Steelers fans, does this sounds familiar:

love how so many people are ready to fire Cowher after 1 loss. And a loss to one of the best Defenses in the league at that. It's only the SECOND game of the season folks! Personally I think Cowher's doing a great job considering what he has to work with.

No rookie qb has ever taken his team to the SB. And Cowher will never win a SB :)Something's got to give folks!!!!

We might do well despite Cowher's efforts, or we may lose due to his efforts, but now is not the time to be calling for the coach's head. I would say January some time would be adequate for this topic to be discussed ad nauseum.

Wow. It's now official. I've been called a blind Cowher loyalist and now a basher.
It was a joke. I just want to see noticeable improvement in our execution and see players stepping up to make plays to win some games. I know there are going to be struggles with the new systems and new players. But, 7-9 or 8-8 and this team could still be drastically improved. Or not. I'll be judging the play on the field more so than wins and losses.

You gotta be kidding me? You feel the reason why some of us want Cowher gone is simply because of one game? How about the last thirteen years!!!??? Every year we hear excuses for the guy. Every year people blame the players. For the last thirteen years it has been the players fault the steelers have either underachieved or choked come playoff time.
Every year, I hear the same excuses for Cowher. This year, and the next three won't be any different. Just don't expect a ring while he has command. Your missing the point, it's not one game, it's thirteen years.

It is ironic that two of the most successful/storic NFL franchises in are going through some difficult times after two games in the season... It is very demanding on coaches these days... Every NFL fan wants there team to go to the superbowl now!!! Despite there great past... "So, what have you done for me lately..." Is the NFL fans National Anthem... I for one of many hope that the Dolphins can get outof this rut... I haven't given up but I must be realistic too...:shakeno:

Illl take him

lets trade Wanny + a conditional pick for Bill. we can even say that Wanny won Coach of the Year!

:roflmao:

seriously though, i would rather have Bill C than Wanny any day.

Cowher has had a lot longer leash than wanny ever had, if Cowher was the dolphins coach he'd be gone a long time ago...

I say that we kidnap Cowher after the game this Sunday and put Wanny in the over head storage of the Steelers plane as it heads back to Pittsburgh.

if cohwer was here for the same amount as Wanny, i dont think he would of be canned long time ago........

GO FINS!

I love his intensity too.....13 years of failure be damned let's get him.

Or better yet...let's get that screaming, intense, wildman they have for a HC up in new england.

I'd love to have Cowher here. I'd be willing to bet we'd at least have been to the AFC champ game twice in the last five years if he were our HC.

I don’t get some of you. We should not want just anyone to replace Wanny if he needs to be replaced. We should want a better HC than Wanny, not another version of Wanny.

If we go 0-3 I say we have to fire him no matter what and name Bates or someone as an interim HC until we can properly address the HC position after the season. Let's not keep our standards the same as they have been.

Cowher, Edge, and a real O-Line in 05!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously tho, i cant see Cowher getting canned.

What are you guys talking about? Cowher is a great HC... There's a reason he's in his 13th year. One thing's for sure, since he has been in Pittsburgh they have had a lot more success than Miami. He has at least been to the Superbowl. He's only missed the playoffs a handfull of times and has been to the AFC Championship 4 or 5 times.

I would love to have Cowher .For years the steelers FO did nothing in the way of free agents except let some of their top FA's go and still they always seem to be in the playoff hunt.

Did any of your over 12000 posts actually add anything to a conversation without being condesending?
