In the last 10 drafts, only 14 of the 39 receivers drafted in the first round (36 percent) established themselves as solid, consistent NFL starters.

The best place to find a receiver is in the second through fifth rounds of the draft.

At Least Ted Jr. is in this 36% Category. He could have been easily on the other side!

Stop the wining! At least hes helping the team.

I am a big Ted Ginn supporter . . . but lets face it . . . the competition wasn't exactly stiff . . . 3 UDFA's and a bust of a FA in Wilford.

He pretty much was number 1 by default lol . . . but I think we are just scratching the surface with Teddy . . . I think he will be a fantastic WR for us . . . I want to see him opposite of a more refined guy . . . like Anquan and Ginn would be WHOA . . . the perfect compliments to each other . . . with Bess in the slot.

what about

OLB/DE
CB's
OL's

How many first rounders from the above became solid/great starters

He's a starter making plays. He's not riding the bench. He's not hurting the team.

I just thought that was a extremely low percentage of 1st round wideouts that become solid startes.

I am surprised Ginn Jr actually became a solid starter in the league, but he does start every game.

He made a great improvment from his rookie season and he had some signs of brilliance like the buffalo game. He's on the verge of being great. We get someone else maybe in the draft or free agency and he could really take the next step foreward.

That's because we have no real quality WRs on our roster. 2 undrafted guys that are pushing him as hard as he can handle. He should over shadow all the other guys by a long shot. But he doesn't. Bess and Camarillo are right there with him. To me that is just pathetic.

Camarilo and Bess are not anywhere neer giving him everything he can handle. I have talked about this before, but I guess you dont get it. Our coaches dont pick who our #1 wr is. The other teams defense does. I have never seen a double team go towards Camarilo or Bess. If they are pushing Ginn for his #1 spot other teams would worry about them more. Fact are they dont. Ginn is our #1 because the other teams make him that. Until someone else comes in here and the double teams go towards them, then you can say he is being challenged for his job. Bess and Camarillo would have had half their numbers if Ginn wasnt getting the double coverages. Do you think TJ is a#1? He is when Ocho Cinco is on the bench, but when 85 is on the field he becomes a #2, based on Defensive schemes. Dont even pretend that Bess or Camarilo are as good as Ginn cause they are NOT!

I have no idea what you are basing this opinion on. I do know that you and I have argued at length about this. I have been following the Dolphins for 37 years. I played high school and college ball. You have not changed my mind as of yet and this post doesn't either. Just because opposing defenses have the luxury of double teaming Ginn doesn't make him a #1 receiver. That's like saying if my 77 year old mom is sitting in a race car, she must be a racecar driver.
