1. 25 of 32 teams have 1 loss or more after 2 weeks.-This points to the parity of the league, home field advantage, the importance of match ups. This league is set up to be a tight race to the end. Teams strengths match up with teams weaknesses every week and it creates a situation where winning streaks are hard to come by and fans never truly know where their team stands. 3 of last years playoff teams are 0-2 at this point. I know after a long tradition of being in the middle of the pack we have the right to be concerned, even demoralized after the 1-1 start but at this point 1 win and 1 loss does not give me enough to determine whether to start planning for 2015.

2. 3-4 QBs in this league can carry a team-This is not to say there are not a lot of very good QBs in this league, but very few of them can make the adjustments at the LOS to mask the teams match up issues on a regular basis, then make the perfect read and throw. Outside of P. Manning I have not seen a QB flat out play anywhere near perfect. That dude is amazing, and it sucks because I HATE the Donkeys!

3. This team and injuries-I know that every team deals with them and the good ones overcome them but we always seem to get wacked in the places where we can least afford them. Really Knowshon and the LB core both banged up after 2 weeks or less!

4.Bills are not a matchup we are going to consistently win against- I know they are not a team that you should lose to this much but they match up against us very well. As seen by the fact that they can roll out any QB that has ever played the game and beat us like a drum. We will only beat this team when we are able to run the ball at them and manage their speed back and Oline.

5. Bills are going to be in the mix. Bottom line is they match-up with us extremely well, but that match up is going to be successful in this league against a lot of teams if they can get competent QB play which seems to be the case at this point. The best way to win in this league if you can’t compete in the proto-typical NFL world is to be very good at the opposite. Their lines on both sides of the ball give them a shot at doing so.

6.Matt Moore took the money- I don’t blame the guy, but for those supporters this tells me a lot about the guy and why he cannot be the answer long term or short term. Not that I know this for sure but I imagine that there were a couple teams out there where he could have taken less for a legit chance to start. Instead he went for the money after being beat out by a rookie the year before. He knew the job was to set back and watch and keep the young QB from looking over his shoulder ever throw. He chose long term stability after his playing days over competing to be the guy. I don’t blame him but that is not the mentality you want under center for 16 games.

7. Charles Clay- Is over rated by this board and the media. I like the guy but I watch every game and never once have I said that dude is near the top TE in the league. Not even comparing him to Gronk or Graham but just TE’s in general he does not stand out to me. With that said, can we at least use him in a fashion that he can excel in? His use after 2 weeks has been suspect at best!

8. Screen Game- Holy Balls! Can we be any worse at this? It has been an issue for a long time and it falls directly on coaching. Our execution of these plays is pathetic. Our line might as well tell the other team it is coming. This has to be taught better. Bust out the film and watch other teams do it and get rid of the play action, throw it the other way, then the other way BS! Lineup up and execute a simple standard screen play that I see other teams get gashed by every week, and quit trying to reinvent the wheel!

9. We are young-This is not an excuse. It is just a thank God. The only thing worse about facing another let down season is facing that season with an old team with no upside. First off I am not saying we don’t have a shot this year but if things don’t go well I am at least confident that this team is acquiring pieces to be a good team down the line. The reality is true franchise QBs are not as easy to acquire as some of us think and we are most likely going to have to win with a semi game manager QB and a damn solid team it is nice to see that we have youth in spots where we are sort of old, we have youth in spots where we have money decisions down the line, and we have youth that we can actually say has a chance to be solid NFL football players.

10.We need to run the ball from something other than read options-This needs to be addressed. We cannot set up a true play-action unless we commit to this. Plus we truly limit ourselves if we don’t show some effort to run under center. Don’t think I need to really go any further than that.

Thanks for reading and here is to the next 15 weeks on Bi-polar Heaven!

On point 7, Charles Clay has a knee injury that is absolutely limiting his ability.

On point 8, agreed totally. Lazor keeps dialing up screen plays that work beautifully for the Eagles because they have amazing personnel to run those plays. We don't and we need to stop running them.

I guess my main issue with Clay is the fact that he is a tweener. He excels at things that a good pass catching RB should do in an offense. As far as being a TE he does not really create a size mismatch with the opposing defenders.

New O takes time to learn and to me it is clear the O is a work in progress, don't forget the injured LB's that is the problem stopping the run and special team play.
I can't believe this site it is all about finding who to blame nothing really constructive like what you tried to do.
Loosing Moreno was huge.

Yeah I am amazed how his vision and fit for the system makes such a difference. When you watch them run they look the same but with Moreno the holes just seem to open wide. I know the blocking is not all that different play to play on a consistent basis. A lot more to be a running back than physical skills. Most every NFL player has those. Patience and vision all day.

this and this board is bi-polar.

"I will not be the head football coach of Alabama"

The several DB's that Clay runs over every time he gets the ball would probably disagree that he doesn't create a size mismatch. He looks for contact and is VERY hard to bring down. Not sure who you're watching on that one.....

We've got to keep running screens. The potential of getting a big play or even just a first down is high on those plays and we suck at them because we don't run them enough. Execution will improve with repetition and a RB that can catch...don't use Lamar Miller.

yeah, clay is basically one of our best WRs.

Screens are an important part of this offense we just need the QB and RB's/WR's to do a better job with the execution.
As mentioned Clay's coming off an injury but i expect him to be one of the main targets for Tannehill as the season goes on.

There's a good chance Miami will be 3-1 heading into the bye week. That's a great start. With all the issues surrounding this team that is more than we should expect. The question is will they have the ability to keep up that pace in the middle of the season and then finish? If we can get healthy and if the team develops good chemistry as the season progresses there's no reason we can't make the playoffs. I still have high hopes for this year.

#2) And no one is perfect. Despite Manning's first half numbers yesterday, he played an awful 2nd half. Manning led the Broncos to only 3 first downs and 3 points in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Overall, Manning was 6-7 for 51 yards in the 2nd half. Although 86% completions look pretty, it doesn't tell the whole story either.

Last play of the 3rd qtr, 3rd & 5, Manning throws a 1 yd pass to D. Thomas. Punt.

Middle of the 4th qtr, 3rd & goal at the 6, Manning throws a 4 yd pass to E. Sanders and they settle for the FG which was seemingly set up by a 46 yard kick return and a 17 yard PI penalty.

Just some perspective and pointing out a few things for fun. A few things I'm sure that would have some on FH calling for the heads of our coaches for lack of adjustments/"horrible" play calling and the benching of our QB for not throwing the ball beyond the first down marker therefore not putting our WR's in the best position to succeed. Thanking the FH higher powers for our defense in bailing us out to win the game in spite of atrocious 2nd half QB play. We all know how that goes.
