Some Real good news - Next up Steelers

Here we go again underestimating our opponent. The Steelers are a pretty good team, and believe me, they will be ready to play Sunday. Their "D" will come after us, trust me. Cowher will have that team pumped up. At this point we need to all face reality in that there are no easy wins for us a this time.

The problem is, while Miami faces a relatively weak opponent in the Steelers, Pittsburgh is facing a terrible team in Miami... :cry:

You said it yourself...ONE offensive drive over 30 yards, yeah it was the last drive of the game, but we're talking about the whole game here, not just one drive. If it weren't for the D, we would have lost by a hell of a lot more than 3 points. The offense almost gave up more points than the D.
 
Weak team??? They are much better then Cincy! Can we win yes, but don't go crazy now! And yes I know they are starting a rookie QB!

It's going to take some fans longer than otheres to get the message I guess.
 
The Steelers have to like their chances. A 3-4 scheme is great for blitzing and the OL has been clueless in picking them up. Most teams don't see much of a 3-4 defense, so it is harder to play against.

We are in serious trouble, unless we can get McIntosh, at the very least, in there to improve the line. Get Konrad back for run blocking, pass blocking and the quick pass to the flats.

Get Surtain back and we can at least keep the game close and hope we get the fumbles or INTS to pull out a win.

At best, this is a 50/50 game.
 
Offense must change to win game this week. Can't pick up blitz and that's all steelers do out of the 3-4 alignment. Even when we max protect can't stop blitz. Wanny's gotta give up power ball and spread the field & use the shotgun. Will force Pitt to keep fewer blitzers in the box and give Feeley extra time. If OLBs stay inside and safties brought up to cover attack the single coverage. Not the best offensive game plan but current strategy not working, must change or lose.

Concerned about middle defense against Steeler power running game w/o Chester & Bowens. If CB's are still banged up, coverage will be suspect against a good receiving unit. All replacements must step up to win.

Wild card is Rothensberger. Must get to him early and often.

A lot of question marks but I'm a homer and not ashamed of it...17-13 Dolphins.
