* While some have opined that we will be looking for o-line help, I do not. I think Garner is the flip OT and Feinga has shown to be okay. Plus, Carey could kick out in a pinch.
* Another TE will be added
* I feel they will go with 2 QB's and put Devlin on the PS. Another QB will not be picked up
* Probably another RB will picked up AFTER week one so not to guarantee his salary.
* Wise move keeping the 6 WR's they did...Give Moore and Wallace more time to develop
* D-Line is stout/LB's are pretty damn good overall
* My BIGGEST AREA of concern is the CB depth. The starters are very solid. However, Sapp is questionable in the nickel. I am not sure what to make of Carroll. With Brady, Schaub and Rivers coming before the bye, I do not think the DB's are good enough.

Last year, I was WILD with the cuts they made on the lines...absolutely WILD. I am not wild this year. I feel much better, BUT if those QB's are throwing all over us early in the year Will Allen's name must come up.

LB's will do more covering. New england uses the TE and RB in passing game just as much as WR's

the answer: burnett & dansby and any guy like say jimmy wilson who can come up quick and knock the snot out of the RB.

So your happy with Garner as the swing tackle? I liked the 09 version but he just doesn't look the same as he did in that Carolina game. May be as the year goes on the rust will be knocked off but who knows. I always felt more comfortable with him at tackle than guard but after watching the preseason wasn't so sure. John Jerry is a waste of a roster spot and is hot mess.

Well I would not way wild but he and Carey are your options. Carey played there before Long. No I am not happy and would be moving Carey to right tackle tomorrow and probably Gardner or Fina to guard. Jerry it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall listening to why they kept him. Last year he started for a few games and you gotta wondered what has happened with him since.
Yea listening to the sculta butt I would have kept
Spears over Spitler
Will Allen over Carroll
Johnson over Jerry
Livas over Trunsnik
Keeping both Moore and Wallace both would have been tough with Livas on the team. Spears and Livas both bring speed to the teams and Allen brings turnovers and Johnson some needed depth.
Everyone is bitchin about the tight ends but we need 2 for next week at least and all 3 of the backups after Fasano are cut from the same cloth.
I guess the OL will continue to be a revolving door again this year, the TE position will continue to under perform and now we are light in the pants at the running back position. It will be interesting to see what we do these next few weeks at these three positions and QB of course.

Apart from Jake Long, Garner may be our most important line man IMHO. A lot of other garbage should be thrown out before Garners name is mentioned.

I like Garner. I think he is better on the edge than Murtha in a pinch. IF Columbo got dinged, I would slide Carey back out and move in Garner. As stated above...Garner is VERY valuable.

i knew colombo made the team when marshall said he feel good looking up at big colombo

Didn't say Garner was garbage. I like him a lot if he can regain some of the form he presented in 2009. I however have a very hard time trusting a player who has looked sluggish coming back from injury. I do however agree that we really only have 5 decent OL and the rest is hot mess.

i think you can a lot worse than Joe Berger as a back up Center. Smart guy with experience. You just do not want him for 10 starts in a year.
