James originally committed to Alabama. After he de-committed he spoke to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about his decision. He said it had to do with a textbook scandal at Alabama.

- James considered entering the NFL Draft after the 2012 season. But he decided in Dec. 2012 to stick around Tennessee for his senior season. It ended up being a great decision considering that James was the No. 19 overall pick and will benefit financially.

haha, i admit though i am dissapointed we didnt trade back. i think we coulda got another pick and still got him. but im glad we got him. not one person on this site can say we didnt need an olineman. now lets get our RG in the second!!

now im not a big fan of the pick. But one thing I love about it is .... 4 year starter at right tackle, not a LT or a guard projected as a RT. This is exactly what I wanted
 
The pick is growing on me more and more. Watch the dude could end up being a pro bowler. Its hard to say. But most people are upset we reached i understand. But still a solid pick.
 
Would I have liked to get James later and picked up the extra 3rd? Yes

Do I think we have a winner here? Yes

Durable, great character, above average pass protector, can play physical, student of the game, smart, well spoken, great personality for the locker room.
 
The market wasnt there to get a third rounder in a trade back. At best they get a 4th but more likely a 5th. Now put the risk of losing the guy you covet beside the reward of an 5th rounder.

I would have liked a trade down but the pick was great even at 19.
 
We drafted a very good, experienced RT to play..RT. We believe we have a franchise QB right? well protect him. perfect fit and a high character guy. Yes we took him early, but would he have been there in rd 2? who knows what we would have done had either Shazier or Mosley were available...neither were. We filled our biggest need =. Now its time to make some splash

NO traded up to #20 and gave a 3rd. what on earth are you talking about?
