Some updates on potential FA targets...

What I am got from other boards regarding some of the following FAs we might be interested in...

Hampton NT - Supposedly the FO promised him they won't Franchise Tag him...not sure the FO will give me 3 year contract either. Should be interseting.

Jolly - No talks yet with Green Bay.

Collins - Apparently been talking contract but has gone extremely slowly and they expect a FA tag on him if not.

Pickett - In line with Collins for a contract and in talks currently.

Bethea FS- My favorite player in FA market and most wanted is most likely giong to get Tagged if not resigned...sad to say.

Dansby ILB/OLB - MOst likely will hit the market and already used 2 Franchise tags on him so he is heading out...Claims to want to go to a big market team so he can get "known" and "recognized" as being such ag ood player b/c he doesn't get enough credit in ARZ.

Rolle - Trying to restructure his contract so he wont have the 8 mill cap hit. Nothing new on his terms really.

Atogwe FS - Might hit the market, not sure why he would resign but one claimed he might get tagged still...

Daniels TE - Most likely wil hit the market as they try to tie up Ryans ILB long term which is the 2nd guy I want the most behind Bethea.

Sheffler TE - will hit the market if not tenderd or w/e its called and traded for a late round pick. He was upset b/c they w anted to use him as a blocker instead of a receiver and his strength is receiving.

all the players in bold are RFA, and as of right now Rolle is still under contract so he should be on that list
 
I get the feeling FA will be a disappointment for us. A lot of these guys won't be going anywhere, and no cap means outrageous deals offered from teams who actually bust the bank for players.

We need to quit with the Gibrils and Wilfords.
 
Yes I am aware that almost 98% of the FA class are RFA but I am confident we wont go into the FA period without a CBA...I am expecting a delay in FA to finalize the CBA agreement jsut as we did several years ago...to much of a negative/disastrous impact if no CBA is reached so I don't expect the owners and such to allow it to happen.

If both sides really wanted an agreement there would be reason to hope, but the owners don't want an agreement until next year.

The owners will benefit several ways from an uncapped year.

All of these off season looks that include a new CBA are utterly futile.

We might as well view it from a realistic perspective.
 
The 49ers have come out and said that they will franchise tag NT Aubrayo Franklin

The 49ers are planning to place the franchise tag on nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin, who is scheduled for unrestricted free agency, unless they first sign him to a contract extension.

i think there will be no cba agreement reached and the owners will use this period of time with no cba to cut the fat. get rid of those rediculous contracts they are stuck with. see joey porter etc...there will be more players available after this blood letting is finished. It will be interesting.
 
No CBA would mean we can cut ties with Wilson and Porter which would be nice.

Look to the draft for your talent this season.
