Somebody PLEASE help me understand...

that is a very simple answer, because stephen ross is our owner

Bill Polian has been phasing himself out and thru blatant nepotism, embedded his unqualified bumbling son to carry on the day to day decisions. Polian is semi-retired and unless you want his demon seed as well in a package deal, the answer is self-evident.

So if Polian has "Demon seed"...does that mean Ireland "porked" him?

Why is Jeff Ireland still our GM when Bill Polian is available?????

Dude. Seriously. Did you watch the NFL at all this year?

Why would we bring in a guy so bad that his team implodes when their starting QB went down? They didn't just get worse, they literally became so bad, probably half of the college teams playing in bowl games could have beat them. Alabama and LSU definitely would have. And you want this guy to be our GM? Seriously...?

He had one bad season...how many have we had under this "Parcells tree"???

One bad season? His teams have been perpetually under-talented. Peyton Manning covered those deficits because he is a once-in-a-generation type player. His defenses are ALWAYS bottom third in the NFL. Why else would a QB as talented as Manning only have 1 Super Bowl ring...?

Just because we are losing out on some of these coaches and the common denominator is Ireland almost all of the time, doesn't mean he is a bad G.M. His reputation must be pretty good around the league or he still wouldn't have his job with us.

People need a scapegoat. Always. It was Ted Ginn forever, then he left and it was Crowder. Then we released him, and it was Sparano. Now Sparano's gone and it's Ireland. I'm kind of curious who the next one is going to be...
