Somebody's trying to rain on our parade

Easy to predict that when Detroit has looked good so far. Hell Aaron Rodgers was 16 for 27 for only 162 yds and a TD when they met in Week 3.

Dolphins lose this week. Sorry guys... not trying to be mean.

For the record, the only hope the Bills have is that the KC game is at home. The new injury to Watkins with the crap we call a running game spells doom.

So Detroit is number 1 at defending touchdown passes. They have only given up 9 passing TD's on the year. No reason to be worried.

Last week San Diego was the best team in the league at keeping team out of it red zone. Guess what happened? we got there 7 times.

It is called evening out the statistics. Usually when a team is at the top it means they are due for a bad game that will bring their averages in line with everyone else.

It could be a big day for RT17

An unbiased opinion from a Bills fan...not. lol.

This is one of those games where Moreno and Sims would both have been a big asset. Daniel Thomas is a big back that doesn't understand how to run with power and only an average pass protector. I hope Williams gets more PT this week. My biggest concern is coming out of this game healthy.

Just posted this in the PFT comments under "picks" in response to the failed ambulance chaser. I guarantee you it'll be vaporized within the hour.

Florio’s take: Few believe the Lions can sustain their 6-2 start. Even fewer believe the Dolphins are a legitimate 5-3. Give the edge to the team that’s playing at home and getting Calvin Johnson back.

me: For once the re-engineered fanboy is correct! If not for boneheaded timeouts and defenders not keeping the receiver inbounds, a stronger case can be made that the Dolphins should be more likely a legitimate 6-2

Detroit is by far, the best Defense that we have faced, and probably will face all year.

They're 1st in points allowed (an eye popping and extremely stingy 126 pts through 8 games)

They're 1st in yards allowed per game (290.4 yds)

Lions and Dolphins have both Intercepted 9 passes this year (tied for 9th). Lions have forced 11 fumbles (middle of the road).

Our offense MUST be clicking on all cylinders (for the entire game!!!) if we want to be competitive at all.

Mine too...particularly with the quick turnaround to the Bills game.

Nevertheless, we have the players to win the game...IMO it's really going to come down to the coordinators' calling of the game. Are they ready to finally get past a stingy front 7? Lazor needs to mix it up and make that defense run side-to-side, OFTEN...wear their asses out. Defense needs to make sure to keep everything in front of them...can't have Megatron open with nobody within 20 yards like he enjoyed earlier this year. Stafford throws some very interceptable passes that he gets bailed out on at times...our guys are physical enough to win those battles...time to eat fellas!!

We're still in the bottom 3 in the league at redzone scoring efficiency. We've the most number of scoreless trips to the redzone in the NFL (though the trend is improving in recent games). If I have a criticism of Lazors play calling, it inside the 20, when we tend to waste a lot of downs with unsuitable calls and sometimes poor execution.

It's all I've heard on other forums and various other places. Tannehill is mediocre, Detroit is the best at stopping the run, their defense is just far too superior to ours, our secondary is too small to contain their WRs, Wallace is our only threat receiver, Detroit has only allowed so many TDs, Detroit has only given up 50 yards total to rushing QBs, blah, blah, blah...

Praying for an upset if you could call it that, ESPN has us picked to win which I never like...

another trend that is due to break. Need to get our red zone back above 50%

For all the talk about Tannys big games coming against weak opponents, no one is using this analysis for DET's defense... The packers offense is literally the only good one theyve stifled.
