Someone is getting stronger

Yea my QB doesn't need to be ripped. Just work on lower body and technique

Pitchers in MLB also aren't getting smashed smashed by 250lb linebackers and 300 lb d-linemen. Gotta have muscle to protect your bones and joints. Find me a successful NFL qb that's built like a MLB pitcher, silly nitpicky argument.

Maybe its a reason he did not break in half last year..
Or have Mario snap his collar bone
I know we dont want a body builder for a qb but Kirk Cousins would of been killed with our O line

I don't think Peyton or Brady are that muscle bound. I could be wrong

I don't think Joe Montana ever lifted weights.. Kenny Stabler sometimes smoked and drank Booze the night before the Game..;) I hope him and Wallace are hanging out playing catch..

but can he hit mike wallace in stride down the field.

his arm strength has never been the issue, its his long ball accuracy thats the problem. and all those muscles wont help that one bit.

Unnecessary for a QB. He should be out throwing flys for 8 hours a day even if he has to hire someone to run/catch for him. Connecting with Wallace last year not only sees us in the playoffs but it makes us a contender. The ability to strike from anywhere on the field puts you in every game, doesnt matter who the opponent is.

LOL @ people (who probably aren't athletes in anything resembling high level) saying lifting will not help improve aspects of your game and implying that it will hurt it.

Everyone's an expert.

As a QB? I don't think lifting is all that important he has a cannon already. Arm strength isn't a goal of his.I think QBs are unique to this conversation

guys are bigger stronger and faster than they used to be and (obviously) he hit the turf 58 times last year... he is just doing what he needs to do to survive the season.

Eli looks super buff

I'm sure he's not dumb enough to go to the gym just to get a beach bod, surely he's getting professional advice. My guess is a QBs throwing motion is similar to a golf swing so a Tiger Woods type regiment probably wouldn't hurt anything.

I'd be shocked if he's training without a strength and conditioning coach, we had them in high school/college, there is no way a multimillion dollar pro QB doesn't have one designing his training regimen (and I would assume his diet too)
