Someone is getting stronger

He's just working out and bonding with the boys. Being a leader. He obviously has a pump going on in this pic. Its not that serious. The offseason is all about classroom and lifting right now. A lot of players bulk and add muscle around this time. When training camp comes along he will lose some of it practicing in those hot temperatures and decreasing his lifting. I mean it is called strength and conditioning program for a reason. Emphasis on lifting decreases in general when training camp arrives (aside from power positions). Players will be too busy practicing and getting in football shape let alone recovering from in season games. Now is the best chance to do it.

I think the site should coin the term "The Tannehill Effect"

Any post (even one of a picture of him holding weights) will generate many pages of discussion...

also 80's arent that big of a deal. Hes probably benching or doing shrugs. Not very heavy at all. But then again ive been lifting since i was 14.. Man its been 13 years already. Time is flying. 5'7 228lbs now.

As a QB? I don't think lifting is all that important he has a cannon already. Arm strength isn't a goal of his.I think QBs are unique to this conversation

While it may not help arm stength, it will help with endurance and preventing injuries. He got sacked 58 times last year and i'm sure he was hit by much bigger guys over 100 times last year. Do you know what helps prevent injuries? Strong muscles are less likely to tear or tear all the way through. Even if he were to get hurt, strong muscles around a torn rotator cuff or labrum with allow him to possibly play with the injury or recover faster because the muscles around the injuried area will help compensate the hurt area. Not only for injury purposes but if you don't lift please go out and throw a football 50 times a day while getting hit. Let me know how sore your arm is and then come back and tell me that having proper strength and muscle endurance, isn't important for an nfl qb.

NO! he needs to be built like a pitcher. 6'8" and 185 lbs, perfect for the NFL.

right....

I don't think Joe Montana ever lifted weights.. Kenny Stabler sometimes smoked and drank Booze the night before the Game..;) I hope him and Wallace are hanging out playing catch..

I remember seeing Don Strock smoking a cigarette in the locker room once. It was even on TV.

I wasn't expecting company. Just doing my workout. Tuesday's arms and back.
Ohh, it's the deep burn. Oh, it's so deep. Oh, I can barely lift my right arm 'cause I did so many. I don't know if you heard me counting. I did over a thousand.

everyone looks jacked when you are holding weights and just finished a set. lets see how he is on the field.
