I always thought Brees was a poor mans Plummer....

although I've never been a brees fan.....IMO he's WAY better than Plummer. Again, just my opinion but I think a lot of people would agree with that.

there is no way, i'm sorry to say. i don't agree with the post. also keep in mind we have the hardest schedule in the NFL this year!

based off last year sure... Brees took em to the playoffs as for the numbers Plummer had almost 1000 more passing yrds.

Brees was a playmaker and didnt turnover the ball.
 
Patience, grasshopper.....these things take time.

We aren't going 12-4 this season IMO, probably more like 8-8. If we get lucky and avoid injuries and the QB and O-Line step up then MAYBE 9-7.

Watch out for us in '06 though. (or '07 if we have to draft a QB next year)
 
If you want to compare us to the Chargers compare us to the year before last.Last year they started to gell and I think it will at least take this year and next year for us to gell.

just the way you put it, proves to me that my personal choice of Brees over Plummer seems like the right one...playoffs, playmaker, didn't turn the ball over....yep, I'd say he's better than plummer. Just because he threw for more yards doesn't mean those were effective yards, obviously since the Chargers went further....oh, and brees is younger meaning that he also has the opportunity to continue to improve even more.

seriously though, Plummer has always been a turnover machine and that's pretty much why I said what I did....Plummer just doesn't have an ounce of clutch in him...IMO
 
Nice post, but try using some periods next time, it was a little hard to read.

PS they're kick returner last year was Tim Dwight I believe. He's the OTHER white kick returner lol.
 
Although in the NFL ANYTHING is possible, I would have to point out that we are in the first year with a new coach. SD had more years to get used to the system in which they played last year. I really don't see us getting it turned around to the point of going 12-4. 7-9 seems like a good goal with the schedule we are playing.
Maybe next year we can compare ourselves to them a little more, especially if we then have Brees as our QB, which is very possible.
 
Brees was a pro bowl QB, if one of the QB's has a pro bowl season it's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it.
