Imagine if Miami can coach Davenport up to become an Average starter? That would make this trade possibly the best ever.

Ideal but unlikely in all honesty

Julien Davenport was the likely starter in Houston before the Tunsil trade. Presume you know that at 6'7", 325lbs he's very big.

Matt Kalil was signed in Houston to replace Davenport this year. Davenport was emergency backup only. Dude gave up 12 sacks in 15 games and I read somewhere between 67 and 71 QB pressures.

There was a reason Houston was so desperate to sign Tunsil that they gave up two 1sts and a 2nd.

Evidently a lot of those Davenport #s were at right tackle. People think you can just swap tackles side to side you can’t.

Agree with you on that Houston desperate part

12 sacks yes. I believe he gave up 16 pressures, not 67. That's still bad but lets not make it worse than it is.....lol

If this Oline can hold up I'm very excited for this team. Lets see how Preston, Rosen, Ballage, Gesicki, Baker, Wilkins, Minkah, Harris (who had a great preseason), play.

I'm excited to see the defense. We have some major building blocks in X, Minkah, Baker & Wilkins. If Godchaux, McCain & a few others step up, the D could be respectable, although I expect them to be on the field a LOT.

Hey, we judged Tannehill behind bad OL's … Rosen and Fitzmagic will be no different. Let the Tank Begin!

Let's start by speculating WHO the hidden gems are going to be that develop into decent players, and HOW MANY of them we'll find in 2019.

Hiden Gems:
WHO: Jakeem Grant breaks out
HOW MANY: 3

Just keep in mind that someone charted Houston’s sacks and d Watson was at least charged with 20 plus of them. Think it was 21.

Whether or not that chart work is accurate with what happened on the field I don’t know but I do that cat holds the heck out of the ball a lot

well, doesn't he moves around a lot too which would make it a little harder at times? He can get himself out of a sack but he can probably run himself into a sack too. Same with Russell.

I think it’s more he just hasn’t learned when to throw it away and live for another play.

That and he doesn’t read the field all that well imo.
