Some of us have speculated that Saban had some influence in the Patriots draft prior to this year. I've never put much stock into the thought. Then again..........

I see a guy drafted in the first round that I've never heard of by New England. I've read some of the posts that say he's a good player. I've read some of the information on his ability. But a first rounder?

Did they possibly lose their ringer in Saban?

I don't think so.. I think Pioli is the brains of the draft hands down. He and Belichick must see something in the guy no one else sees, like usual.
