Something troubling to me..........

I finally got around to finish watching the game from Saturday night. (Tivo is the best invention since the TV) Something bothered me. They panned to the sideline in the 4th quarter and what do they show.........Feeley hamming it up with Mare and Turk.
I have been a big Feeley supporter but this bothered me enough to change my view. Shouldn't the quarterback of this team be hanging with his receivers, running backs or offensive line? I kind of get the feeling that Feeley just doesn't fit in with this team from what I have been hearing this last week. Mcmichael and other guys saying Frerotte should be named starter so that some timing can be developed. Then to see him hanging with the punter and kicker, who can barely be considered football players seems to me that there is some attitude or friction problem with him.
What do you guys think?

Feeley is not mentally in the game when all is siad and done. He is dipping into soccer chick and talking and laughing when he should be worried about his job!

I think it's a relatively significant observation. Being cozy with the kicking unit does show a slight discomfort with the units you should be cozy with.

Anyone who saw the game, was Matt Roth's sack impressive in any way? Or was it a coverage sack...

right, once again how dare a QB hit the receiver in the hands, shame on him!!!!

LOL some of these things people use to critque are amazing.

I am not saying you Rafael but we now use touch as a basis or argument when he went 16-20 against Feeley but some will still say even though Frerotte was once again under 50% they will praise him and say it was the WR'S not him.

Plain and simple, if the ball touches your hands you need to catch it. I am not talking about an acrobatic catch, whether it is a heater or a slow ball u need to catch it.

Besides in Football you see RB'S out in the flat drop more lobs with touch then you see them dropping the bullets to them.

You're missing my point. A good QB makes it easier for his teammates to succeed. Even if the receiver should have caught the ball. The odds of success are lower with AJ throwing the ball. Offenses succeed when they are in a rythym. AJ's lack of feel and lack of touch make it harder for the offense to get in rythym. I don't expect to convince you. I just know what I see. I see a QB that the rest of the O has to overcome to be successful.

A non issue really...it doesn't matter who he choses to hang out with.

THey already DID announce that Gus is the starter. And Just cause Feeley isnt' starting doesnt mean that nobody on the team is gonna talk to him! C'mon. He was on the team and started a bunch of games last year. It's not like they dont know him & havent spent time with the guy. Yall gotta stop disecting every little tiny thing you see.

The previous week, when our coaches were going over game-photos on the sideline with Ferrotte, both Sage and Berlin kept getting their nose in there. Where the hell was Feeley? hanging with the kickers. Turk needs work on his directional kicking...all he does is cruch it out of the endzone every time.

I missed the game, but as I walked by the screen on Sunday morning (DTV replay) I saw one play. It was a pass from AJ to Minor that Minor dropped. Now generally Minor is a good receiver, but on that play I saw a guy who put his hands up out of rythym. He actually leaned his head away from the QB. This was exactly what I used to do when I was catching short passes from QBs who lacked touch. You actually start to anticipate an overly hard, out of rythym throw. In this case, AJ's pass was fine. It hit Minor in the hands and he should have caught it. The problem is that so many of AJ's short passes lack touch that it's causing even the ones he throws well to be incompletions. Then people say there is some sort of conspiracy to make AJ look bad b/c generally more of his passes are dropped. The reality is that AJ's lack of feel will always result in more drops and inconsistent offensive production.

Now I have heard it all...It was Feeley's fault the recievers are dropping his passes. Well...damn...I wish we all would have noticed that earlier..coulda saved us all alot of time. Its Probably AJ's fault that the line sucks to. And it was AJ's fault we had a sucky A$$ coach for five years. Is it AJ's fault that gas prices are so high? If so we should cut him now...cuz Im sick of paying 2.60 a gallon.

Okay seriously, I agree with you. I seen how AJ played. And considering he was one of the only people (in any postion [QB, RB] who is supposed to pocess the ball) that didn't drop the damn ball. AJ's passes were right on the money for the most part, and for a good portion of the game, it was the Feeley and Boston throw.

And speaking of fumbles, there's only two players that had a good excuse for a fumble:

A). Wes Welker: His teammate was pushed into him. 'Nuff said.
B). Kendall Newson: If I got injured like that, I would of dropped the ball, too.

Anyway, back to the subject.

So what? He was talking to Mare and Turk. Come and talk to me when he starts chatting the opposing team.

Of all the insignificant minutae that trys to get passed of as news in here, this one takes the cake. Now, I've heard it all.

"I saw Feeley talking to the punter and kicker for 30 seconds on the sideline in the fourth quarter of a preseason game. That must mean he doesn't get along with his offensive team mates!!"

I have to disagree with the signifcants of him talking to those two. They could just be closer friends to him then anyone else.

In regards to Roths sack it was a good sack on his end. I must say, being at the game, this was his most impressive performance by far. He was consistently in the backfield disrupting things. He did against both first and second stringers. I also met him, as the team was staying at the Mariott, and this guy is f'n huge. Really cool person though as he went out of his way to talk to me when we were on the elevator.:rofl3:

Paralysis by over analysis.

I realize that most of you guys dont take stock in a player's demeanor durring a game , however it can be a clue as to a player's attitude for example if a qb is busting his chops on the sidelines ,such as going over plays well then that is a moral work ethic that is rare in the nfl i dont personaly have problem with a qb talking to madonna if she is there but if your tring to make the team you should at leats be interested. remember when feeley was traded to miami and he wasnt a happy camper well i dont think he " has it " in terms of a playoff caliber qb. this is my own opinion. i remember watching a giants game in fassel's last season and the entire offense was over by the blechers and were mopping and i thought they were still in the game but there demeanor sure didnt help them any and the same could be said about feeley. just watch his body languge if he is working with the oline, wr, or coach then you can tell if he wants the qb job or not. this just my thoughts and probally nobody will agree with me but i think this can tell you a gung ho type from a slacker.
