we were in all but ONE game in the 4th quarter last year. Mistakes doomed us in the vast majority of our losses.

We were the best 4-12 team in NFL history.

We beat ourselves most of the time and that WON'T happen this year.

I agree with this. The defense really couldn't be much worse than it was last year. Except this year, we have a far harder schedule...

a harder schedule is very true!!!!

but i honestly believe we have one of the BEST defenses in the league this year!!!

you may think im nuts but thats my honest opinion

(how many defensive players do we have on our team that have been to a pro bowl??? i really dont know.....do you????)

anyway defense wins championships and our defense has the depth and strength to do so within the next 3 years!!!!!!!!

Denver barely beat us last season and we played without Zach. They have no chance in week 1.

I agree. I also believe a lot of it came fom our former staff making bad decisions at crucial moments in the game.... also how hard is it to cover the passing game on third and 9... we ended up in obvious passing situations too often due poor play calling. Hey just my opinion.

I've been saying that all off season. People like to exaggerate when it comes to football more than any other sport but if you actually watched the games you'd see the Dolphins had plenty of chances to win a lot more games.

I think the reason being is the good teams in the NFL and the bad teams are a lot closer than some fans are willing to admit. The good teams and the best teams are not as close. I'm not syaing the Dolphins will do it or anything but turning around a team quickly in the NFL is easier than it's ever been. Many fans don't like to admit that either.

I totally agree with you. Even with all the mistakes we caused ourselves we were still in almost every game. I have been on the Donkeys message board letting them know Miami isnt the cake walk they think its going to be. They all told me they will dominate us.:fire: I dont think so. It shouldnt be too hard for Ronnie to Run on the Browncos Dline:lol:

Like I said, people love to exaggerate when it comes to football and treat every win like it was a killing. It's actually funny. The Broncos beat our horrible team in Denver by 3 points last season yet they think they will blow us out in the 90 degree Miami heat on opening day. I believe that, really i do .

I don't post a lot, but this is something I always think about when those Bills and Jets trolls feel they have to talk trash about our team.

Not only were we In most of those games, we lost half of them by like one score.

p.s. opposing fans are slacking. This thread is one of optimism, and it's about to go to page 2 without one of them trolling.

Pittsburgh -6, Bills -7, Cardinals -1, Seatle -3, Buffalo -4, Denver even going into the 4th.

I think a lot of those close games go our way this season. @ above average backs and an improved O-line can assure us 5 of those close games..

I've been saying the same thing all offseason. Apart from the jets game, we would have won most of our games if we had one or all of the things we will have this season: Better coaching, more talent on offense, better play from the line, and better decision making from the qb position. I don't see any game on the schedule that we have no chance of winning.

I'm with Ya.

Considering that we, as the 2nd worst team in the league, beat the SuperBowl champs, it just goes to show how close the teams in the NFL are. ANYTHING can happen in the NFL. :)

I don't buy into that very much, who is tougher than our own division and we always play them. When we win within our own division we will not have to be very concerned elsewhere. I think we're going to get us some this year, but in truth, I would be estatic if we could split with them all.
