Things have gone very quiet on the Fins Head Coach front today. After McCoy's interview yesterday Ross reportedly went back to NY to ponder and evaluate the men he interviewed. No new potential HC interviews have been scheduled according to any news source....

Could it be that Ross has made his decision and that negotiations are in progress...new head coach joins us by this time tomorrow (Wednesday)?

There are 3 jobs open and competetion for those coached is heating up so maybe Ross is making his move now...but who will it be???

I think it is possible. Zimmer is in Tampa today, so they will have to wait until later tonight or tomorrow to open negotiations with him if he is the choice. If it is McCoy, negotiations could be going on now.

I think by Thursday we will have a new head coach in place.

Once you've met the man and have given him a tour of the place, everything else could be done over the phone. Ross could go in any direction at this point. But, yeah, it's quiet out there at the moment.

Mike Florio said last night that the dots are being connected for Mike Zimmer heading to Miami, he said it makes complete sense because him and Ireland worked together in Dallas

It is the quiet before the storm. Just wondering if it's going to be a good storm or a bad storm .

Is Carmichael going to ge tan interview or not? Did any team interview him? (or asked?)

John Clayton said today that the Fins and Bucs will probably not have a coach in place by the Senior Bowl.

I am the opposite of the OP...I think we are at least a week if not longer from getting a coach.

Like to see carmichael get an interview. Looks like we aren't interested in chudz. May the best man between zimmer and carmichael win. If its zimmer I'd like to see the 3-4 hang around but I don't think it will.

If what John Clayton said is true than that is not a smart move by us, we need to hire a coach soon so we can start to assemble a good coaching staff, there are some good assistants out there that woont be around much longer, haley, hue jackson, del rio, I would love to see us hire Zimmer and then get haley for OC, and maybe keep nolan as DC, Zimmer ran a 3-4 in Dallas so it is possible that Nolan could stay, and btw Clayton is an idiot.

I agree.

Unfortunately, it shows that the organization does not know what it wants. Too bad...

Like I've said before, you would think they would be tired of screwing things up but their figuring out new ways to screw up.

were probably waiting for the giants season to end so we can interview their assistant WR quality conditiong coach, who knows with this organization!

I Like Zimmer as a "leader of men" type and as someone who has a clear vision of what he and the team will be about. God knows Ross and Ireland are not good at communicating and inspiring any of us. Zimmer is a straight shooter and our team may take on his fighting spirit. His ties with Ireland are a good thing and again, I don't see him backing down on any point the way some of the lesser experienced OC may if there is a disagreement about a player etc. Zimmer could keep Nolan around and bring in Haley as suggested earlier, although it's difficult to look past the solid work of Dabol over the last half of the season.

McCoy, I don't know as much about, but I've read that he is articulate and people gravitate to him, but can he lead a team? Time will tell. Nolan will probably stick aroud with him as HC as well.

The biggest thing with all of these guys is who can put the best team of coaches together and you need experience in the NFL to do just that. In the end that's why I hang my hat on Zimmer and take the next step...
