do things just because they can. Why are so many post being moved and censored. I am sick of it. My post about the Bills is perfect for this Board as the topic is huge topic for this message board. A bills loss is definite discussion for a Dolphins board. Lets not make this board into something it is not. This is not life and death so quit playing god.

To an extent, I agree that the moderating around here has been overstrict. The moving of Bills Smack threads I guess is ok, but MODS should not have egos...and its been made clear on a number of occasions that 'you don't mess with a moderator' like we gotta walk on eggshells around them
 
Denny,

First, admins/mods don't do things "just because we can." We do things to make this a better board for all of us. We don't censor threads or posts unless they are against the TOS. If it's against the TOS, we take the appropriate action, whether it's censoring it or moving it.

Secondly, which post are you referring to? Is it "Nobody circles the wagons like....... " in the Beast of the AFC East section? That forum is for news relevant to the Jets, Bills, and Patsies. The forum is mainly for the fans of those respective teams to post in that forum, and to keep this main Dolphins forum clear of that clutter.

Hope you understand...

If the thread is just there to talk smack about the Bills losing, it should be moved. There are a couple of threads still in this forum merely reporting how the bills and patriots lost and now we are in the lead for the division. Those threads should and will stay.

What I don't like is when mods hold themselves to a different standard than normal posters when it comes to a person talking to them. I objected to it when inFINS stepped out of line and I objected to it when Capt Dick stepped out of line. Both are no longer mods though, and so far the other MODs have not been like that at all. I just hope it stays that way.

I'll go with Capt on that one, he's very busy and asked to not be a moderator a long time ago - but I just never took him off the list. He does help out in the Smack forum though...
 
That was done first thing this morning :cool: Someone else did it too... not sure who though...
 
I think the Mods do a great job. People SHOULDN'T f--- with them. They volunteer their time to make this the great website it is, and people constantly break the TOS anyway. It's pretty easy to understand.Keep things in the right forum, and no personal attacks.

They ARE the site police. They ARE in charge. If they allow it to be any other way, this site will become just like some of the other crappy boards out there.....uh..cough cough ...DD board...cough cough.
