I think we all need to simmer down a little bit with all the nonsense this forum has had over the last month, but especially the last week.

If we have learned ANYTHING from these four weeks is that every team is capable of complete clunkers. every single team, no team is an exception.

I know (it seems) that most of you seem only watch the Dolphins play, only seem to follow the dolphins and only read dolphins news so it is hard for you to accept that fact that Miami isn't the ONLY team that is having issues.
but let me break it to you...THEY ARE NOT!!!

In the AFC alone there are 7 teams that have the same (or worse) record than the Dolphins. and there are 3 more that are only 2-2.

so what have we seen just in week 4 alone?

well we saw KC get completely destroyed after looking pretty damn good last week
we saw Phillip Rivers do everything he can to put up a double digit lead only to just watch helplessly as his team mates throw it away in the final minutes.
We saw indy put up another stinker(eventhough they tried to make a game of it late) in London
Denver looks like the team to beat again....
Jets got beat....again
Buffalo was the most fortunate team in the NFL this week, having a chance to go up against a hobbled third stringer that now has some tape on him.

this was just yesterday.

not lets get back to the Dolphins for a sec and put things in perspective.

Yes the Dolphins are 1-3 but if we can take anything away from that we can say that well.....they lost to two super bowl contenders ON THE ROAD and a perennial playoff/wannabe contender on the road on a short week

the fact that we lost those games is now a moot point. We have 4 straight homegames, a ten day gap to prep for Tennessee. and a bye week in there.

This Is exactly what Gase and the team need. Some time to reflect, and some time to make those adjustments that are severely needed.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. (now if we lose to the Titans...welllll)

Let's just see how we do over the next 4 games and we'll go from there.

Holy crap. I think you could spin losing a leg as a good thing.

Only thing is....most of those teams have talent playing badly,we on the other hand have bad talent playing.

True. There have been so lackluster games out of the gate, CBA rules or whatever it may be. Denver however brings that nasty defense to every game and until someone can solve that well...

why is it so hard for people to just understand that we are a #@$%y team???
We have been a bad team for a very long time now and we will continue to be a bad team for the foreseeable future.

BTW... we also beat the Browns because they missed 3 FGs.

Bad coaching and a horrific FO. That's what is known.

Dolphins MVP thru 4 weeks: Cody Parkey

Basically Ryan Tannehill and the coaching staff have not acclimated as well as we hoped. Thus we are playing poor ly but that should not be surprising as it takes time when you churn both the roster and staff in the same year. Unfortunately we have to wait it out to see if it's going to work l.

Same story different year. Yes we played Seattle and Denver tough, not a big deal we usually always play up/down to our opponents.

Yes the AFC is muddled this time of year, as it always is. Fans of bad teams always get their hopes up because they feel they are still in striking distance, 4 games in, every team is, including the terrible ones.

Only thing I have learned is this team is no better than last years. I fully expect us to beat Tennessee, bring back that sliver of hope for a week.

Landslide ensues. I just hope in the midst of it, we start to can the front office before the end of season. Their job is all but done, no need to keep the dark cloud hovering until 2017.

I don't care what everyone here says, the Fins DO have talent. The problem is that they havent been using it.

Sure, we have some guys, particularly on defense, playing over their heads (starting what is essentially, 2 rookie corners for one thing), but CB has a steep learning curve. We need to let them take their lumps now so that later in the year they will be on their A game.

What I've learned over the first 4 games is that we have played 8 pre-season games. Is the pre-season over? Not yet, but I hope it will be soon.

Most people are just still very septic from last week and it will not wear off until we see a good performance from our team. Something that makes us see that it was just a bad game.

I for one put that game on the coaches. That was a very flat Miami Dolphins I watched. Unprepared and unexciting. The D made some good stops, but as we keep hearing about the QB position....when the game mattered most they couldn't produce.

Your point is valid though. Regardless of any excuses the Patriots were whooped by the 28th ranked offense and 17th ranked D. Shut out non the less.....if that doesn't define "any given Sunday" then I don't know what does.

Every NFL team has talent, what separates those teams is coaching.

I think you should include the entire offensive unit. Its clear everyone is taking a turn on the mistake train through these few weeks. One mistake by an Olineman or a WR makes the QB look bad. Vice versa if the qb makes a bad throw or is off with his timing it makes the WR/RB look bad. We arent playing as a mistake free unit yet, that much is clear to me.

I think we need to settle down with so many RB's. I would like to get a heavy dose of Drake and see what he can do. I could care less that Arian will be coming back.

I think what you saw is the offensive with another bad performance as a unit as well as Tannehill having a a bad game. Im not ready to bail on him because he tends to have a stinker or two early in the season for anyone that has been paying attention the last few years. He will bounce back. But really if you watch the film, especially on those 3rd downs, WR's werent getting open before the pressure came. He needs to wake up in regards to bailing out of the pocket though. That aspect he is starting to annoy me. Hopefully this serves as his "wake up" game.

Even though I think he will still be our guy long term, Im cool with drafting a qb next year. May the best man win.

Who is this talent you speak of? Suh, Landry, Jones? That's about all I got. Tunsil and Parker have hopeful futures but there is not much after that other than guys like Albert and Wake who will never be talented like they once were.
